These "ideas" are pretty stupid. Everyone should literally point and laugh at the screen. No really. Point, Laugh.
If you need the game to be made even easier for you with poorly though out game mechanics that only benefit one type of player, you should probably learn how to play properly and stop hugging station undocks in the hope of easy kills. Nice to know that the marmites get to you Goons that much. Doesn't change the fact that he's crying about ninja looters grabbing his stuff and docking in Amarr though. I don't know why you expected anything else to happen in a busy trade hub. Marmite doesn't get to me. They're a bunch of terrible carebear pubbies who live under the constant delusion that camping station undocks in the safest possible places is the pinnacle of PVP, then howl, cry and run away when enemy numbers start to get even remotely close to theirs. They had their chance to get my respect and impress me during Burn Jita 3, they chose to run away en masse, tails tucked firmly when half a dozen goons showed up to have a scrap. Darwin's Lemmings, their "feeder corp", have shown more balls. All marmite seems to want is handouts and help to do one of the simplest things in Eve. Shoot people.
Sounds to me like you have some strong feelings about the subject.
Sounds to me like they're getting under your skin. Through being effective or blue-balling, I don't care how they do it, just as long as it gets done. |

Ninja looting is an honorable EVE profession. Got me my first dirty ISK, my first suspect flags, my first ship losses. Great times!

Actually this will hurt docking games in trade hubs.
Win/Win isn't it?
This actually makes sense to me, in the scope of the game currently. |

I approve of a one minute weapons timer for suspect granters Would be fun for killrights and to kill the loot bots in Jita (the ones using python injection and pixel readers to somehow lock a wreck from 10km when i am on it) |

Your sentence doesn't parse very well, but I think you're saying CCP should wreck one of the most interesting game elements just so you can shoot people that you *think* are botting.
If you are, do you have any idea what a bad idea that is? What next? Random Quicktime events while ratting? |

Or, as in real life, like when your stuff gets stolen, you go to the police (not concord), and have them chase your thief (negative standing penalty enough for police to chase your thief).
This flag should be up like 15 minutes. The consequence is, if you go to the police this way, they will chase your thief, but thief wouldn't be able to be attacked by you anymore. Doing so would trigger concord response. |

OP very well may be a troll, but he alternatively might be upset that his wardec targets' drops are being scooped up by neutrals. I'll assume he's not trolling and respond.
Quote:1. Crimial Dock Timers: This is a BIG one. As it stands pilots can just grab some loot from the wreck and dock right away. There are no reprocussions. Its's great that they become criminal but usually they just sit in dock range and dock right away. Make a criminal dock timer of at least 2 minutes. Also if they are being fired upon dont allow them to dock while criminal. that will stop the theives from using heavily tanked ships to just sit there till their timer is over. This idea is the most important of the others.
2. Make a delayed warp timer for a suspect. A good loot thief will just grab a small nimble ship, grab the loot and warp away. Again no reprocussions.
3. Make it possible for the loot theives corp/allaince to be war dec'd and start within say 4 hours. Much like assisting in a current war dec. 24 hours is to long for a war dec to start for a war to start against a pilot who takes loot.
4. Do not allow a suspect/crimal to jump until their timer is up and they are not being shot at.
5. Allow Kill Rights to be placed on criminals. 1) Irrelevant when the pilot can warp between safes for the duration of the timer. 2) You have the option to pre-lock the thief as he approaches the wreck of your enemy/NPC. Even if he is pre-aligned, you can many times still catch him if you time your scram perfectly. In the case where he's not pre-aligned, you can easily catch him and/or get to the loot before he pre-aligns himself. 3) Why should the wardec timer be changed? What's the justification? If someone blows me up in a mining belt repeatedly and moves their own fleet in, should I not also want a quicker wardec? It's arbitrary and unfair. Everyone should get the same timer. 4) Criminals cannot jump. If suspects could not, no one would go suspect anymore. If there is a point in your post that goes to prove you're trolling, this might be it. 5) ....
Alright so this guy's a troll clearly, but now I've already gone made a response.... so, I'm posting it, damn it! |

In the context of Eve, no one really has a right to anything. |

now then lets be clear on what loot stealing is with a quick couple of simple easy to follow definitions
Loot - something you get from killing something (not isk) Stealing - taking something that belongs to someone without their permission
Now the thing is the wrecks belong to you the stuff in the wreck belongs to everyone the crime is taking something from the wreck that belongs to you not the taking of the thing itself for it to belong to you it has to be in your cargo hold otherwise it's just random trash in space and the "loot theif" is really doing a public service by removing trash for the servers not taking the loot should be considered an exploit and anyone who leaves cans in space should be blown up by concord instead of having the cans vanish

The effect of loot on lag is the exact reason why we let people clean up after big RvB free-for-all events.

I like the spirit of the post - kill rights is a bit much but the overall idea is pretty cool.
"Someone ripped me off. I want to blow that persons head off but the mechanics don't enable it."
Most snicker about how they can get away with such thefts and nobody does anything to them. You want the ability to blow their head off and make them stand and fight.
Yeah, I like that - especially in highsec. Just get some of the excess out of the way. The more legitimate player-vs-player penalty delivery... the better but not some lockout for 20 minutes while some mission runner ignores them.
Make sure if they aren't messed with, it doesn't slow them down too much. |
