when i moved to a new ship, my civilian laser now says 'No Charge' with a no entry sign on it. How do i fix this?

You need to get a frequency crystal to put in it. Probably a size small one.
Also, you might move on to a real weapon. :)

y i'm still a noob so working my up. And if someone can move this to the right section i'd be grateful.
I can to seem to find any frequency crystals, only multifrequency. :(

There are a number of frequency crystals. In no particular order:
* Standard
* Radio
* Gamma
* Multifrequency
* Infrared
* Ultraviolet
Off the top of my head. All of them will work, if you just want to be firing again. :)

I would suggest asking in help or rookie help channel in-game. They will help you alot there.

Multifrequency will fit too. Just read attributes of small freq. crystals and find what you need and when. Moving to a better weapon will help too.

A civvy gun? You shouldn't be able to load crystals into it, it's already got a fixed crystal in it.

Civilian guns don't use ammo. You didn't notice before that your gun said "no charge" before, and also that it always had the no entry sign on it.
It's how civilian guns are and always will be, regardless of what ship it's on.
