Over the past week my friends and I have been picked on by these haulers. Unless it was a programming mistake the haulers are not haulers. Something is not stirring the Kool-Aid about them. After losing a few interceptors we started losing attack frigates. Despite them being tech two focused damage, we are still losing to this Nereus ship.

Is there an exploit going on? Why is this hauler getting the best of us?

Next question from my friends. Do other players need permission to show someone in their combat videos? That Paradox one she didn't ask him about publishing it as it shows him in a bad way. Would this be considered harassment because now others might go out of their way to attack him and my other friends with haulers?

Nereus has a huge cargo bay, lots of slots, and sufficient offensive capabilities to take down frigates or unprepared bigger ships. Remember that ships never have one "set" role. The Nereus happens to be one of the few industrials capable of defending itself.

This is probably similar to what your Nereus friend is flying:



If he has good skills, he will be able to take on a handful of frigates and win. If he has external help in the form of off-grid boosts, or a buddy standing by with a remote rep ship, he can take on even more. What can't he take on? A cruiser or two, especially if they have good skills. A battlecruiser. A couple assault frigates. Anything that kites. Anything that uses sheer alpha to get through his tank (a few Thrashers for example).

When someone is using a gimmicky tactic, don't run right at them. Think about what they're doing, what counters them, and make a plan. Set a trap. Outsmart them.

Also, moved to Ships & Modules to preempt the incoming relentless GD trolling.

They're hardly Q ships if they're obvious.

Also there was a sickening fit that a corpie flew, i was in a hurricane and couldn't break his *passive* tank!

sure his DPS was laughable and i was still in 80% shields of an armor tanked ship but he wasn't dying.

I don't have the actual fit handy but i think the theory was much like ye olde passive drake.
SPR's, Extenders, Purgers, Point. That kinda stuff.

Throughout history EVE....

That Mack with only one miner working (or none) in a belt.
That Mach that is doubiously positioned between the station and your cyno.
That mindless Myr or Domi that just jumps into your gate camp.
That text in jita that tells you that they will double your ISK.
That Venture that looks such a juicy target.
That Azaru that has had your corpies ratting ship scammed in the belt for 40 mins and still hasn't killed him.
That carrier that apears in sytem with your super that you ignore.

In a nutshell, if it smells, looks, feels and taste like faeces... ('tastes like', i dont know, just wanted another sense and can't hear it and isn't a dead person)

Just deal with it and allow out of the box thinking in this game.
