BOB as a gaming entity goes the extra mile to wind your enemies up and you don't play on "soft mode". This now added with your history and the fact that alot of people really can't take a beating in an online game doesn't give you an easy time I guess.
That said though your own members spew some of the most biased crap I've ever seen in this game aswell TWD.

One reason u see a lot of us posting, is we dont enforce any kind of forum ban.
Were free to post what we like.Ofc, if its out of line, we can expect to be publicly smacked down here by the head honchos 
Like Alasse said, were very passionate about what we do. And in an ideal world,we would all ignore the trolls. And so would the rest of the community. But its not ideal. So they get fed,by us,and by the same ppl saying we post too much.
If some spineless alt wants to start smackign us on the forums,u can expect a wide spread response. Right or wrong,good or bad. We pays our moneys,we post and play how we want.
And if were honest,who doesnt like a nice thread to read while ur doing something other than playing,or playing but waiting etc.

Flaming is almost a part of this game. I think most of the flaming/hate is just for fun although some ppl take it to seriously as we have seen in previous threads and then they get flamed cuz of rl insults.
And are bob the worst flamers? Well I've yet to see any bob memeber post rl insults on these boards 
Also if you make a flamebait or post lies, be prepared to get flamed to hell and back.

because people need a whipping boy and since m0o disbanded BoB have stepped up to the mark to fill that role. Not intentionaly I'm sure but niether have they done all they could to stay out of the forum flame wars.
In being the mythical bogeyman BoB are providing a useful service. If it wasn't you I'm sure it would be someone else. Blame m0o for disbanding and blame your pretty high levels of success for it too.

BoB may smack alot, but at least the make sense. Senseless smack just winds me up, though they do have small group of players that have no idea.
But they still have policy's against smack on the forums, well, at least BNC do, or they did. I quite like alot of BoB posts like BL, DBP(hes a bastard but his posts are good), Sirmolle, Kryztal etc and some others. Its better than listening to some noob go on about how Blacklight is a dev that puts his job on the line for a game and has alts as every alliance leader thier ever was.

Interesting thread.
Funnily enough, our perception is that we get smacked heavily by literally hundreds of people that a) aren't involved b) have not got the stones to post with their mains or c) tell a lot of lies.
As it's a game and the forums can be and often are a fun part of it we don't censor our guys from posting on here, so long as they post with their mains.
So when we get hit by a load of the above (the a's, b's and c's) the guys tend to reply in kind. Especially when faced by the c's the guys feel like they should respond to defend our honour and dispute the nonsense, hence a flame war starts because neither side then wants to back down.
Simply telling our people not to post on the forum refuting the BS posted by some of our opponents is not an option, regardless of how we would like to rise above the forum nonsense and just do the business in game a lot of important psychological warfare goes on here. So we can't just let the BS ride we have to point out the truth, and so the arguments continue.
The thread Tyrrax pointed out is a case in point. Loads of nonsense and spin posted by our enemies deliberately to paint a totally innacurate picture of the fighting in 9CG, hence it got lots of replies.
I don't really see either us nor our opponents as being worse or better on the forums than the other party. Getting over all the forum smack would require everyone involved making a commitment to not do it and then their leadership following through on that commitment, which is never going to happen. Also, as there is such a very fine line between legitimate psychological warfare and smack for the sake of smack it's nigh on impossible to legislate for the latter whilst continuing with the former.
So, those who have been around the block a few times know to take the forums for what they are and those who haven't will learn in time

I'll agree, but BoB aren't as "bad" as so many other entities, and when BoB do it, they do it "right". I would attribute most of the hatred towards envy.

I used to be nice on the forums then I had to spend the whole of the GNW defending our corp and it's alliance from a ton of crap.
Now I can't be assed even attempting to be nice to lamers, cowards, alts or any other muppet talking **** about us.
However, I only reply to crap, much like most of our alliance because hell yes we are going to defend ourselves.
Stop trying to write rubbish, trolling and flames about us and you'll see alot less replies in the negative from our guys.

Exactly and how did that all end up? Who was proved not to be lying in the end? I think we all know the answer to that now.

the forums is about posting your perspective, you say people are lying, how is it a lie if you see something in a different light from someone else. we are all entitled to an opinion, you guys come over as not wanting free speech.
