While that is what it does, I agree its purpose is a bit opaque until you've been added as a contact with a nastygram in the text.

I was wardecced once and the wardeccers were upset I didn't use trade hubs or do stuff that made me vulnerable more often, which apparently means I'm a coward. Once the war ended with no kills, I got set to terrible standing with some message to the effect of being a cowardly awful person. They really should have done their homework.

Right now, we have to keep separate notes, or send mails, about contacts standings changes.
PLEASE give us a way to do this right!
Along with a way to add corp/alliance "notes" on people, this would be amazing.
"Why is this guy red?" "Uh... is his corp red?" "No, wtf?" "Maybe he was a cyno alt? Or someone we were tracking down?" "I dunno."
