I got an Raven in an week and an Thorax now, but they are not good for missions, I heard frigates are the best so give me an advice on best frigate to use. I got level 4 in frigateskill in all races. And for how long can I use frigate, on agentlevels before its to hard?

Edited by: Shevar on 23/09/2003 19:38:00 Best a vigil for the first 2 levels of agents (3 med slots and 3 low slots). But for lvl3 agent missions you need more cargo space so you either need to get another frigate (like the probe) or start using a cruiser with a bigger cargo space (currently using a stabber)... -------- -The only real drug problem is scoring real good drugs

I use a Slasher or a Condor. No special reason except they are both fairly fast and have 2 medium power slots for afterburners.
800+m/s is plenty of speed to get you to most jumpgates in just the blink of an eye.
Be careful though, don't leave your Indy or Cruiser behind - Level 3 Agent missions can require some serious cargo space (upwards of 500m3).

... I find Kestrel nice. 1200 m/s travel speed, cargo bay can be expanded up to 400 m if necessary, 4 launchers allow to kill all NPC spawns easily, up to the cruiser sized lvl.3 missions.

I use a selection of ships...
Generally I use a Tristan with:
1 Ion Blaster 1 Electron Blaster 3x Afterburners 3x Overdrives
This is more than enough to ferry around multi-mission cargo's and still kill off the super-weak pirates your asked to kill. 120m3 cargo at 700m/s.
Recently tho, I've been using a Vigil equipped for speed, 3x ABs and 3 OD's give you a speed of about 1.5km/s which will eat up those jumps in no-time...

Learn Caldari Cruiser lvl 2 (needs like 2 hours ) and get a Blackbird. 1.5km to 2.25km /sec 6 afterburners or 1 MWD and 5 afterburners = 30km/sec
and u have a kickass ship after this agent mission stuff.

I usually use a Tristan.
No reason really, any of the fast frigates would suffice. I just like my "fat man".

You have a raven you are asking which frig to do agent missions ?
errr well...
Just some suggestions:
1 shield booster, 1 mwd, 2 or 2 ABs, with nanofibers in the lows
If you like to travel afk, fit the lows with overdrives. I can't see how a frig would be better, but anyway, that's just me. _______________________________________________

I find an Armageddon with 2 MWD and at least one smaller gun fitted works well. You could try that with your Raven. Fit an expander or 2 and always buy as much of whatever your agent wants as you can hold.
If I had to use a frig I'd pick a probe since it's fast. Or possibly an Inquisitor since it has more cap. I'd go expanders, afterburners and lasers so I don't need ammo. I just buy any minerals/ore off the market. ----------------------------------------- Sig rented by Drethen Nerevitas. |

Bah, what's wrong in using a battleship as an everyday ship? I use dual MWDs and the rest of my usual config. One MWD on auto, one manual. Hit both and make sure the autopilot is active, might get embarrasing if it's not.

PUNISHER WITH AN MWD IS THE BEST AGENT MISSION FRIGATE.

Some capac rechargers and you set.
