Third video, showing pure vindicator footage recorded over the past couple of months. Unlike in my previous videos this is not entirely solo action - all the 0.0 stuff is solo and unscouted as usual, but an alt was used to scout out the pirate camps that were broken up, and I do have gang mates for a few of the fights.
I felt the incredibly imaginative name was appropriate because this video feels a lot closer to Wave of Mutilation than Reckless, both in pace and in the type of kills, so unfortunately that means there are a few NPCer ganks, though I hope they're reasonably entertaining nonetheless.
If anyone tries to use the video to claim something about game balance (as happened with the previous videos :|) I'm going to cry. Apart from if they're saying that ECM is overpowered, but everyone knows that's true ;p. As far as the setup, quite a few people already know what it is and you can make a pretty good guess at the quality of the mods involved, if not the specific names, from watching the video. I won't be letting everyone know what exactly is hidden in those low slots though ;p (setup has changed somewhat since the footage was recorded anyway). Needless to say, the setup is stupidly expensive.

Just got done watching it.. well 97% of it.
Some awesome fights in this vid.
The Domi/Deimos one is my fav by far...
Think half of the fights you had mentioned to me in some shape or form, but damn watching it gives a whole different feel.
The pirate ganks are always a pleasure to watch
I preferred the first one overall, but this ones a must keep as well.
Damn, even with all the bonus to cap, blasters/mwd sure hog the cap use don't they.

Yeah, I had some reservations about the footage precisely because of that reason. Pity I didn't have fraps running (dual accounts at the time) in the the couple of larger gang fights it's really been in danger in, where it survived with 80% hull the first time, 15% armor the second ¼_¼.

There are things in this and that last movie that you dont see anywhere else
and there is a reason for it. Piloting at its absolute best.

I rate this movie... 6 out of 7 guns.
Rly nice stuff.
For the setup I'd expect it to be 2 corpum/centum adaptive nanos and 2 shadow serp magstabs.
Though I dunno if that fits CPU-wise, at least when you've got the ECM on (domi tackler is cpu friendly). Might be one membrane and one officer plating.

All the leet lewt makes a huge difference in so many ways.
First off, he's saving loads of CPU. The setup is nowhere near fitting with standard stuff.
Second, the performance increase from officer/complex membranes is very big, and so is it from the reps, the cap injector and the MWD.
(ofc still nowhere what pimped shield stuff is)

Watching Farjung vids is a bit like watching a James Bond film, when it comes down to the good old firefights it's always tons of people stacked against our lone hero but still we just psh at that because we know he's gonna kill them all anyways.
The fact that we're getting used to you pulling off stuff like that doesn't make it any less impressive in the end though. Keep those vids rolling out

Btw, did I see correctly that you actually had your faction alternative fitting stuff in your cargo when you agreed on a 2vs1 against unknown ships? Not that you wouldn't have shown enough balls with taking the ship with the apparently expensive fitting into pvp in the first place

The cap booster is Ahremens, 9.56 seconds. Second only to chelms 9 seconds iirc.
All in all nice vid, but you really have to have an uber setup to fly like that.

Had a pretty cool fight with a nos domi with a couple of multispecs that lasted 3 minutes or so because I had null loaded for the first couple of minutes, which just wasn't getting the job done against the domi's tank. We basically took turns jamming each other, and while the domi wasn't doing anything to my tank it was able to rep quite a bit of its own armor back while I was jammed. Fight was kinda slow and dull to watch though, so I didn't put it in.
The rest of the ecm boats I've tried to kill have jammed me and warped out, or kept me jammed for such a long time that I gave up and MWDed away and warped/de-aggressed and jumped out. If you've watched my previous videos you might understand why I don't like sticking around against ECM for too long ;).
And yeah, I did have the various bits and pieces I occasionally swap in and out in my hold, if I did pop then those would be the least of my worries ;).

Thanks everyone for the comments, even if some of them are a bit over the top ;p. You don't need amazing piloting skill to do some pretty mean things with a setup like that, you just need to be silly enough to spend a lot of isk on modules which will sooner or later end up in someone else's cargobay, and implants that will end up in a frozen corpse .

In the last fight, when you engaged tempest, raven, domi, ferox, i was waiting for someone to jam you.
Lets see :
Tempest - 1-2 ecm in default fitting.
Domi - 3 ecm.
Raven - 3 - 4 ecm.
Ferox - 2 - 3 ecm.
Most intresting thing, that the only moment in movie, when you was close to death - you were jammed by ecm drones (they had 2 ravens, LOTS of ecm, but it seems, that everyone thinking that tank > ecm).
Movies of wolf killing lots of sheeps are not intresting for me. I liked your "reckless" more.

When someone using ecm on you, you`ll die. And it doesnt matter what fit you have on your ship. Its a sign of good player - adapt to endless changes. Want to pwn - fit ecm, or die. Intresting thing, that this setup will die to usuall ecm domi, or raven (with web, ofc). Funny, ehh ? No skill, "i jammed you first", instead.
Don`t know. Everyone talking that i`m bitter about various movies. May be it`s true. At least i`m always honest, and posting exactly what i thinking, or don`t post at all

What i don't get is how you tanked anything with only a damage control fitted? I can't see any hardners on any fight, and no graphics to show that you just covered them up either.
I know one thing, Eve has been stale for over a year for me, and that looks like the kind of fun i need to get into.
But how you finance tht stuff is beyond me, I don't play much nowdays, but even farming lvl 4's couldn't i afford to risk losing that kinda kit.

a lot of faction ships and a lot of faction modules.
He does take his fare share of losses and thats what really make it stand out,

and have the willingness to spend that money over and over again.

Ok, see a faction ship is one thing. I mean, a faction BS doesn't cost more than like 400M extra. And really doesn't provide that big of a performance boost either. It's just a "show off" thingie, and hence you see them around.
A real pimp loadout on the other hand is 5B+ in isk, and that does hurt a PvPer's wallet alot, unless he play EVE 10 hours a day and run some massive carebearing as a sideshow.
Then we have the numbers game... Concentrated fire 4tl. So, this kind of ship is only something you see in solo or 2-man teams.
And... that is hard to do atm.
If CCP:
1. Re-instate the immediately updated map
2. Hit EW with the nerf-sledgehammer
then I'd take my pimp-ship out far more often.
And why you only find blasterthron pilots... Well, you see, since the dawning of time we've had to splash out $$$ on our ships to make them usable. So then the step is 'smaller' to a really expensive ship.

Good movie. Probably liked it least out of all of yours. Your opponents were pretty much terrible (seriously where do you find these guys?), your setup was 4tw, and there was really only 1 fight that stood out to me, the you + aeti one, but thats probably due to aeti being very sexy.
Also you were supposed to die to some lucky bastard/blob and make some nubs day! That was the plan bish!

Not trying to take any credit away cos you got balls to go in some of those engagements with that expensive a setup but id love to have that kind of isk to play with for a pvp ship.
Incidently not many of your targets seemed to have warp stabs fitted and hardly any used ecm, damn it i need to go play where you play.

Seriously though, when you took down the vigilant the rest of us came as fast as we could to fight you Farjung. It wasnt exactly the best idea we had since we were on a cruiser op about 5 jumps away. All good fun though.

It must be karma or something, every fight (rather than gank) I've had since then I've been primary target for jamming. Haven't really been running fraps though recently.

Tbh, the cost of the ship + fitting + implants is about five times my current total wallet. The way I see it is that I can keep flying fully insureable megathrons and dominix regardless of whether this vindicator goes pop or not, so I might as well have fun with it :).

Just watched this one. Whoa, some heavy "owning" right there. And that web thing you had is annoying - now, I've only really done NPCing, so has not been as bad as having it in a PVP situation but it's still annoying when a web or a NOS refuses to activate even when the enemy is well within range. Only thing I've found helps is breaking the lock and relocking Not such a nice thing to have to do especially in a BS.

Releasing vids isnt always all positive :) but, thank god for the backup array boosts, one active and yer settled for some serious solo fights. Let the vids come dude. its fun to see how other pilots use their faction stuff in pvp :)

You rly inspired some ppl (including me) with your movies, to skill the right skills and to fit the right mods on the ship and do the right tactics (spliting up multiple targets with warping around, ect......learning-curve is going up)and to go out and pwn ppl.

Yesterday at 19:22 the vindicator in the video finally got destroyed, in a fight between MC and Imperium. As it happens yesterday was my last day in MC, and it's always nice to go out with a bang ;p. The fight was between:

2 x Megathron (one was a friendly not in the MC, so had sentries against him as well)

Of that list, on the vindicator killmail were 6 battleships, 3 command ships, battlecruiser, hac, 4 cruisers, af, ceptor.
I first started fully running the tank at 19:17:56, and the ship exploded at 19:22:33. In that time it absorbed 71,071.1 hp of damage according to logs, which with an average armor resist of 80% translates to roughly 300,000 hp of raw damage. By the time it died I had used up all cap 800 charges. When I saw the cap charges were running out, I de-aggressed and tried to MWD the 2.5km back to jump range, but unfortunately four or five webs meant that my top speed with MWD on was 5 m/s.
Congratulations to Imperium for the kill and the engagement, local was free of smack both before and after the fight. From my point of view it was an awesome fight, even if it didn't turn out in my favour, but given my playing style it was inevitable that sooner or later it would die, and I'm glad it went in a fight like this rather than due to a bug or CTD.
Much ♥ to the Sharks and the MC, many of which have thrown isk at me (and even a new vindicator) despite my attempts to send it all back :\. I'll miss you guys!
Unfortunately I didn't get fraps of it blowing up as I was running two clients at the time, but I know a couple of other people did. It'll take a little while to get hold of the isk and mods to rebuild it as good as it was, but sooner or later it'll be back ;).

I gotta throw in and say that that was one helluva fight. Let it never be said that MC will only go in when we outnumber...or have even numbers...or have better than 2 to 1 against ;).
Of course, we did have Far, so he counts for like 8-9. I was surprised my 'Ranis lasted as long as it did in that sea of blinky. Guess most were too busy shooting Far. Anyway, I agree on the gf sentiments, as well as the stfu sentiments to those who would take the **** out of Far for this.
Oh, and Wave of Mutilation 1 & 2, along with Reckless made me want to spec for the Mega. I was gonna put points into getting an artypest, but that'll have to wait ;)

I was honored to be there for Farjung's last fight in the MC and it was fantatic! A fitting end to a great player and an amazing ship. I think all of us knew going in that we'd probably be leaving in pods. There was a small chance we could have pulled out a win but Imperium just kept pouring through the gate and the ECM was just murder.
I was not one of the people who got FRAPs of the fight (ARRRGH!) as I simply forgot to turn it on.

Oh dear, that was a fun fight :)
Became even more heated when half the system started shooting my poor Mega when I was really busy tanking sentries and trying to pop IMP ships. :) Still don't know how my Mega lived through that. :)
We knew it was tricky, looking back we should've gone for the 3-4 easy ganks and leave the field.. We stayed and got whipped, ohwell. :)

Yeah, I was a great fan of that Vindi too. I've been on the wrong side of it twice. The first time is in WoM2, the second time I actually ask farjung for a 1v1 in his vindi verse my mutated raven setups. I frapsed it and the footage shows me dying very fast and ver quickly. But is was all good fun. He was even nice enough to give me my loot back afterwards.

With the setup I had on I did 723* dps from the guns with void, along with 249 dps from 4 ogre IIs, so that's 972 dps, which isn't that bad.
A few other factors - the npcers were tanked for EM/Therm, so my kin damage wasn't really resisted. The pirates also had sentries on them some of the time, which helped. And ofc the footage was sped up by a factor of 2 or more most of the time.

Amazing! ..I noticed something interesting. U where NEVER jammed(for what I could see, atleast), even though u went against Dominixes and scorps aplenty. So, my conclusion must be that u had some stupidly good backup arrays.
If I am to guess at ure low slot setup, it would be something like: X-type L armour rep+corpum med rep+best damage control system+centus passive exp hardener+centus nanoadaptive membrane+2x best backup arrays...

Farjung fans! Review your footage of the battle of the vindi vs. a crapload of ECM drones!
Got jammed once. Also, the scorp was helping the raven rat, so I wonder if it might have had very few jammers and a lot more tanking modules.
I tried to mimic that vindi with my mega my conclusion is the mega sucks in comparison.
Still an inspirational movie. I love the Juno Reactor song alas have not found it to buy yet

5. Corp m8 came in kinda late and I think he actually CTD'd.
6. Was a fun fight and gave Farjung a lil more than what he expected, hehe I know he used alot more 800 Cap Charges than he thought he would use.
7. No smack and had good convo afterwards.
8. Nothing but respect for Farjung.
Even tho its me thats died, its pretty cool watching the battle from the other side as well. :)

I would guess that those modules werent "standard" gear and
that you got as much implants as P.Andersson.
Would be nice to see a blastervid where some "regular" skills
and equipment were used. Not a pimped up BT & implants up the wazooo.

Just rewatched the part with the apoc,domi,2xraven. As a fellow raven user, it makes me cry to see it being used so ineffectively.
If both ravens were using bane torps the vindi would've died right there. But instead they decided to use cruise, (partial) EM?!
(This has probably been mentioned, cant be bothered to search 10 pages though )

I felt the incredibly imaginative name was appropriate because this video feels a lot closer to Wave of Mutilation than Reckless, both in pace and in the type of kills, so unfortunately that means there are a few NPCer ganks, though I hope they're reasonably entertaining nonetheless.
If anyone tries to use the video to claim something about game balance (as happened with the previous videos :|) I'm going to cry. Apart from if they're saying that ECM is overpowered, but everyone knows that's true ;p. As far as the setup, quite a few people already know what it is and you can make a pretty good guess at the quality of the mods involved, if not the specific names, from watching the video. I won't be letting everyone know what exactly is hidden in those low slots though ;p (setup has changed somewhat since the footage was recorded anyway). Needless to say, the setup is stupidly expensive.

Two Dominixes - I think these guys were running travel setups tbh, and they weren't very old, so them trying to get me wasn't a great plan really. But multispecs really are stupidly overpowered ;|.
Vigilant -> Mega -> Dominix/Raven/2 Raxes/Maller/Omen/Malediction - I guess because the vigilant never aggressed back I got flagged for stealing his loot - I was a bit confused when they all started shooting me without getting criminally flagged. Kinda lucky that the domi wasn't in their corp and so got flagged when it opened up on me, and that the raven decided to warp off without either aeti or I even locking it...
aeti's footage was 1280x768 raw, so unfortunately when I squashed it down to 640x384 all the text on the overview became very ugly ;|. You can tell his framerate owns mine though ;p.
Dominix/Deimos - This was a bit of a blind date, I had no idea what they were in until they warped in as there were quite a few ships on scanner. Went for the dominix first as I had void loaded anyway, and with the tank I had on I think the nos of the domi was going to hurt more over time than the dps from the deimos. Really should have had both, if my web had actually turned on when I wanted it to then the deimos wouldn't have got quite so far away in the first place :[.
Pirate Apoc/Domi/2 Ravens - The apoc and domi were both set to cap rape, which explains why my cap disappears rather quickly ;|. Was a little bit nervous when I saw all those ECM drones out, but fortunately they only jammed me once.
1400pest/Geddon/ACpest - I found it quite funny how the 1400pest warped out and abandoned his corpmates as soon as Ryssa jumped in, despite being in so much danger sitting aligned, 115km away from the gate. I forgot to turn turrets and effects on until after the fight had started, so some web effects/nos effects aren't drawn :(.
Farjung You Rock! That is the best vid i have seen yet and it is a firm lesson to all pilots on how to use youre equipment with devastating effect.

Yeah, we could have had torps on fireing straight dmg with 6 gal racial specific ecm each but comon, gate camping is risky as you have to be setup to tank a massive amount of dmg whilst also being able to hit both big ships and small ships.
Max love farjung, was an amazing experience taking on you gang :)

A Faction battleship is just a battleship with more slots.
If you fitted crusie and non-specific DESPITE knowing what you where coming up against, then you are a bit thick. i agree with the nub about the torps.
And BTW - webber drones > blaster ship, should have used your brain rather than defaulting to ECM like everyone else. But then again this was RMR, so ECM was everywhere.

Wrong, Blasters still wtfpwn other ships, even since the HP upgrades, and you simply swap out your ECM module for a second Web, Scramble or Sensor Booster.
The Vindicator still rocks as a solo PVP ship.

Um, he was heavily nos'd several time's in that movie, i suggest you pay attention. Those domi's had ecm on also, as did he. He got a few decent jam cycle's and killed one domi and the other way easy picking's

Don't try to lecture me on pvp. Especially on blasterships as i have literally max skills for them and fly them everyday. If you're in a vindicator then you run from ships such as the domi. It will nos your cap and keep you jammed 99% of the time if hes a decent pilot.
The electron blasters every vindicator uses do hardly any damage, i'm amazed how rubbish the victims tanks are in these movies that they can't tank electrons. |

Get over yourself dude. I ws pointing out that your comment's about the movie were wrong. Farjung flie's them now and again (sarcasm ) and is extremely competent .
I fly Gall ships myself and domi's aren't the be all and end all of bs. His resists on that thing were awesome which is why the pair of domi's were doing crap damage, and it was passive so was nos proof

Electrons with one magstab do Ion-ish damage, include into that two T2 heavies and you're looking at 800 odd DPS, nothing to too shabby. :)

1) Post with your main.
2) Even before the ECM nerf in the revelations patch, a multispec wouldn't come close to jamming 99% of the time, even with high skills.
3) Electron blasters with good skills, plus damage mods, plus vindi's bonuses, plus implants, plus 5 t2 drones, does more than 'hardly any damage'.
4) Show us all how uber you are with some killboard stats or a video or something.

There is no way to say this ship and pilot is underclassed somehow. It was an amazing set-up with some amazing implants, and the pilot knew what he was doing. Almost as good to watch as some of the micro managing that is needed in a raven 8). Yes you have to micromanage sometimes.
Anyways nice vid, sry you lost your ship, but as we all hope for it went down in a blaze of glory.

Obviously those of you that keep mentioning the vindicators bonuses have no clue, since it gives 25% bonus to damage, however thats the same as having battleship level 5 on a normal megathron so exacley the same damage.
Vindicator vs megathron the only difference is the extra hp, and that med slot which is usually used for ew, or web. The damage is the same (actually lower since megathrons use neutrons, vindicators use electrons) and that a vindicator is always fitted with officer repairers, hardeners etc.
Stick farjung in a megathron against any other megathron pilot and he isn't so amazing. Its merely the fittings that are nice. |

Megathron's don't only use neutrons dude. It's fairly versatile in that regard, you can tank or you can gank. The neutron setup is gank, kill before you are killed because you cant put any decenty tank on it. Farjung piloted a mega in his first wave of mutilation movie and funnily enough, kiilled the crap out of stuff if i recall ( coincidence? ).
You are judging a pilot's abilitie's based on what you think is correct, example being you think a vindi should run from a domi in above post, if you run away from a bs 1 vs 1 in a vindi, you should consider selling it tbh.
The mod's and ship are all well and good but without the pilot skill and experience behind it, you are 'just another ' blasterthron pilot.

Im afraid you are mistaken, you cant say "Megathrons fit Neutrons" because a sweeping statement like that makes no sense. Everyone fits their ships differently.
If i didnt know better id say i was talking to an alt of one of the people Farjung destroyed.

very intresting seeing my electron setup doing about 900 dps.. oh well at least now i know i wont break any decent tank because some 9month alt said so.

Damn, what can I say... The videos of this Guy (the capital "G" is there for a reason) are pure ownage and nerdness at the same time. I feel sorry watching them, as I know I will NEVER have the RL time and patience to work for, buy, skill, test, work for, rebuy all the ships, learn the tactics and subconscious clicking. That I will never own people like He does (or did). Sheees... Kudos for the skills and loads of free time. Great movies. All of them.
