Twarby. He sells Gleam L BPO and place it in the Trade window, when you have laid forth the ISK he CTD and open new Trade window, but this time he place Gleam L 1 Run BPC thinking you will blindly accept it as BPO. This alt also admitted he was a RA alt, scamming to fund his war against V/LV/CHIMP/KOS.
Do you got a scamming alt? Name him here..

why don't you just use escrow? You can inspect for hours if you wanted to before buying?
No, I don't have scamming alt, and don't know any atm.

Saint Schala, hes not an alt, he scams with his main and generaly dosnt care if he gets caught.

I scam with my main. I mean, since I'm a pirate already, it's not like I'm going to be opened up to more danger than usual.
But I am wondering if my past attempts at escrow scamming are hurting my efforts to sell this medium Gallente control tower that I've had for a while.

Meh,
Always make them put it on escrow.
Don't even entertain the 100 "reasons" they will have for wanting a direct trade (unless its a trusted friend)

when it comes to trading, i tell them money in the trade window i never trust anyone to give me the money after, plus i dont allow them to send me the money first. ive herd to many nightmare stories of peeps scamming
will kill anythin for the right price |

Was in orvolle once when some guy was spamming "WTS 4 Cerb for 140mil each" in local. Now I can't fly a cerb, and it sure as hell looked fishy, but if he was that big of an idiot I'd seperate him from his ships and sell them for a 100% profit.
So I convo him, we meet at a station and he sticks an unpackaged ship named "Cerberus" in the trade window and clicks accept. I click accept immediately because the moron accepted the trade before I put any money in.
It was a caracal, obviously, but it was still damn funny.

I once fell for a similar thing to that. Paid 40mil for a mammoth that someone had renamed as "Mastodon".
But I learned from that, and a few days later someone tried to sell me a "ferox" for 15mil  . I offered him a succubus BPC as trade and he accepted. It was a 0-run BPC . The "ferox" was of course a cormorant.

Never use trade windows,if they don't wanna set escrows then let it go,90% of those are scammers

Escrow sucks for assigned escrows cuz you cant cancel them. I just learned that the hard way. Sold the ship on my auction cuz buyer claimed buyout via evemail. IŠve set it up and later he told me he cant pay. Now its stuck for 24h. For expensive stuff like that, I want proof that ppl have the ISK.

I have lost all faith in the escrow system, people say they will claim my Cerberus's then they don't I only deal in direct trades nowadays. You can always inspect it in the trade window.

You do realize you can find your own escrow in the list and close it right?

You should read better. :-) You can't cancel assigned escrows, just the ones open to everybody. And that difference was mentioned before.
Oh, and yes, it happened to me as well. Someone tried to haggle for a Navy Raven, i did offer him a better price, he accepted and after that he found an even cheaper one on escrow. Well, that wasn't nice. :( Had to wait for 24h since i only put it up for a day, lucky me i guess. :/

You cant cancel escrows that are assigned to someone.
