Currently, I love Null and the constant fights between large alliances/corps with the fun small roams that happen daily, but I always thought being a full blown solo pirate and holding people for ransom would be fun. However, I assume this would be difficult as most people are in fleets now. Maybe a few years down the line it will be something I do. What do you want to try? inb4minerandAFKcloaker

It will never happen though,. The logisistics of maintaining one is beyond one person.

Just a bit of encouragement - Owning your own POS solo isn't beyond one person  I own two (on my indy alt) without much trouble and use them for BPO research, copying and reverse engineering. A month worth of fuel for a small tower can be transported in a single Iteron V.

Blowing up someone's ship and pod-killing them.
My problem is I'm constitutionally unable to initiate aggression (I know, I know, it's a character flaw), so I've never really gotten into a position to practice PvP properly from the ground up. I've even tried starting alts to learn PvP from the kickoff in the recommended manner, but I just can't bring myself to attack people for no reason. Also, bizarrely, I can't bear the thought of Barb ever being a "criminal", she's just not that sort of girl.
Consequently my KB is a sad, pathetic, mewling thing with 0 kills.
The nice thing about EVE, though, is that changing this situation is always a potential option. |

I definitely want to try running a POS solo, but I don't have anchoring rights and my corp ceo hasn't been on in months so I'd have to leave the corp first.
Also more PvP, I've started just roaming low-sec in crappy frigates and its a barrel of laughs. |

I've pretty much lived your dream for years. Although yes I have been part of several large groups the interaction of my timezone vs others has always led me to the same place: solo/small gang semi-piracy and exploration.
While it would be nice to find some similar people and just really provide a platform for these individuals to operate out of without the pretentiousness of sov/moons/system control, I do accept that without a higher goal it's easy to burn people out and have them leave.
Even worse are the people who join corps because they're brainless and need constant direction and hand-holding in order to function. I live a nomadic lifestyle, I'm not totally opposed to the idea of having 10 people living out of a couple mobile depots and just doing protracted raids in to other territories but that challenge is finding those compatible people in the first place.
Timezone is the one curse I will never escape.

Not that there aren't better ways to rat but ever since 2005 or 2006 when ever I saw my first Thanatos doing just that, I always thought it would be kinda fun. Even though I have been in this game since 2004 I have never owned a capital ship!!! Heck, this character couldn't even fly a battleship till 70million sp.

In all seriousness, the one thing I wanted to do years ago was: When I was going to quit Eve for good, I wanted to stage a public event with my titan one jump into null, and do the AE DD before I died. Sadly they did away with the AE DD and I sold my titan pilot. That dream will never come to pass.

Being as I spent the last 2 days confirming that I am blacklisted from every sov holding alliance in the game, my play style is fairly limited. I really want to try null sec pvp, I never really got a chance to get into that.
The goons hate me.
The Non- Goons think I am a Goon Spy.
Everybody else either says I am too controversial or cites something from infowars as a reason why they cannot let me in.
