That the build process of Titans and Motherships is completely screwed now because you can't haul components to the build site at any human rate?
Example: Building a mothership require approximately 21 full freighter loads of components. You can't move these components to a POS using a freighter, thus you need to use industrial size ships. Each ship able to hold 2 components each, while the number of components required is a good deal more than 2,000. It would take 1,000 trips on a good day (more in reality) to get enough components to the POS for final construction. If you think this is bad, the numbers are much much worse for Titans.
This has two effects, for large organizations it means cover will be blown because of number of players involved. 3-4 weeks of final construction totally vulnerable to enemy attack. It's also just a big pain in the ass to haul the stuff needed! NUTS!
The Titans & Motherships already build used the carrier corp hangar exploit didn't they? So how the fk are we supposed to build these ships now?!

Build in Outpost.

That is correct. And you're not entirely right about the 'exploit' - you can load the components into the capital assembly array (it's 72mil m3 IIRC).
I can only assume that, building Titans/Motherships and to a certain extent outposts is _supposed_ to be the kind of thing that needs a lot of people to accomplish.
I suppose it would be possible, if you had a quiet outpost somewhere to put one up as a small corp, but that'd be way harder than rounding up a useful fraction of the alliance to haul. -- We are recruiting |

Why so Complicated :)
If someone need to build Mothership or Titan alone, let's move all components to some of your Public Outpost and build there
But I suppose it would be a bit difficult to move 21 Freighter unnoticed there

Edited by: Murehk on 30/05/2006 10:59:59 If you read about the titans they are some sort of great thing that whole moons where stripped to build and they are the legacy of an empire... it really would be a bit stupid if you could pop down the local corner shop, buy the stuff, and head off to your garage and get *****ing.
Think of them as something like the great pyramids where it took generations of hard labour to build.

You still need the 1500 hauler runs to the capital assembly array. Having hauled ... somewhat less than that for outpost construction I can assure you it's no minor operation :)
And of course, there's a 'capital shipyard' hanging around somewhere obvious, for what, 4 weeks until it's finished 'baking'?
It's doable, but not really _un-noticably_ so. -- We are recruiting |

Why do you need to transport stuff to capital assembly array ? I thought you can build Capital Ships directly in Outpost ?

Sadly not. You can built carriers and dreads (and freighters) in outposts, but not motherships or titans. -- We are recruiting |

i totaly agree,, titans and motherships arent ment to be easy to make,,, a ship with such a power should be something that takes alot of time, money and ppl,,, yes it should be bloodly hard work.

Because it has drug connotations that might destroy a teenager's innocence apparently . --------------------------------------------------------------------
