McDonald's success is only disturbing when you consider how disgusting their food is. What kind of species would subject themselves to food they know is bad when:
A.) it doesn't even taste good
B.) it doesn't look good or smell good
C.) they can get better-tasting, healthier food for the same price right next door

I remeber someone made a video of McDonald's food, they let it sit in a jar for a month and almost everything looked like it never had mold. The fries looked like they did the day they were put in the jar |

That's nothing. The food barely changes when left outside the jar, in a humid environment, for years.

I am about to get a McDonald breakfast right now.
Two breakfast burritos with hot sauce, two hash-browns and um.. one bacon egg and cheese biscuit. One large coffie black. And for the tenth ****ing time don't forget the salt and ketchup.

Here's a REALLY shocking fact about McDonald's:
In Germany, its deliverers can't supply it with non-gen-manipulated corn anymore. The quantities that it needs simply don't exist anymore, because Monsanto are busy successfully killing our planet. They have to buy gen-manipulated corn now to keep making those buns.

Actually its based mostly on a few randomly discovered personal accounts of found old McDonald's food and one big famous example from the movie Super-size Me. I don't remember what the actual timeframe was, but the rate of decay in the fries, buns, and patty were insignificant. It's not an old wives' tale, it's something you can test yourself.
The actual truth in it is that the bun dries quickly and, being a white-flour bun, does not decay when dry. Microbes cannot thrive on a plain carbohydrate and will merely grow on the surface of one if they and other things from the air stick to it. The fries are oily but are also salty. The high salt level ensures no microbes can live in it except those which cannot survive in the immediate vicinity of the fries, thereby making it impossible for the ones that can live on it to get to it. And I don't know why the meat wont decay, but it might have something to do with it tasting like plastic.

Even crops that don't use GMO seeds, those GMO crops are tainting the non-GMO crops.
It's probably too late... just like how the Amaricas were settled from Europe and all the European grasses and such flourished in the new world, it changed everything. Whether or not GMO crops are good or bad beyond the debates, one thing for sure is it's here to stay no matter the repercussions. If it's true, and GMO crops are what is killing off the bees (been following the die-off for years), than we have never seen famine before like may come of this in the future. Mars may start looking good to move to once we get sick of eating soylent green. |

Never heard of Five Guys, but I'll take In-N-Out over McDonalds any day of the week.
The McD's by my house isn't very good. They tend to jack up the food. Good thing there is a Carl's just down the block.
The one by where I used to live not to long ago was far better.
Now this thread has made me hungry for a Big Mac.

It's not GMO but neo-nicotinoids that are being used in pesticides, EU banned the substance and bees are fairing better from the last time this was in the news.
Anyway problem isn't GMO per but the way Monzanto et al are "promoting" their crops which by suing anyone who happens to have a field of non GMO-crops next to a field that has their GMO-crops for patent infringements ....
Also having a soy bean whacking machine according to US law is a also grounds for suing for "encouraging to patent infringement" and since soy beans need to be whacked before the crops can be sown and most farmers can't afford to 50,000$ legal fees, well buy Monzanto or the high way and this is why GMO is bad not because you would turn in to a mutant if you eat them. |

Because it's not banned throughout all of the EU? Then there is the matter of imported food and how it's distributed, or to whom. In the US we cant get this administration to even label it  too concerned over entitlements to their supporters/voters/unions to even give a crap. |

Well the article is primarily about how they make money and how that's a bad thing supposedly (Comrade?). So on that note I agree with you. GMO's well sadly that is the case for about every fast food joint though locally we have been trying to get in-n-out to at least change their habits on that. As for accounting for taste...  I guess everyone has their own thing hehe  |

I wouldn't have a problem with the Golden Arches if they were just another restaurant. But when good eating establishments are forced out of business because of that ****, I get bothered. I don't like having to go a mile down a main commercial road, passing several McDonald's just to find one not-McDonald's.
