-very active membership ... we regularly have 20-30 people on at the same time
-very goal orientated (eg. corp mining ops pull in millions of m3, and are always a hoot), big building projects under way
-strong corp leadership - members are encouraged to blog on our website http://solst.quark-nexus.net/forum/ and promote the migration from empire to 0.0

Pirlouit - I've sent in a e-mail to get clarification on how the bumping policy works on this forum, yet still haven't recieved a reply. The way I read it is that each account can bump the thread 1 time per day (not each character on the account). If it indeed means only the thread creater can bump the thread 1 time per day (total of 1 bump per day) then it will simply clutter the forum as we will have to each make our own thread to bump. I would ask that we get a clarification from the leader of the "Mod Squad" on what the bumping policy is.
For multiple reasons, making it so only the person who created the thread can bump it is a bad idea....
1) What if we post information about the corp, we are not bumping we are adding to the thread....but most likely will still fall under the same rule.
2) What if we each create a thread for advertising our corp? Normally this would be covered under the duplicate post rule, however since we can not post to the original I feel that this would be a special case where duplicates would be allowed.
3) What if a new or prospective member posts to the thread? Is that a bump or is that acceptable? If it's acceptable then you opened a loophole whereby we could cross post to other corp's threads faking interest in their corp to bump their thread.
The problem is that the spirit of the rule is not enforceable. You can enforce the letter of the rule, but then it's just like having a rule for the sake of having the rule....not to solve a problem.

I'm really not sure on how this bumping rule works but pending a clarification I'm still going to try to let people know about our corp.
We take new and old players alike. We don't just throw you in the mix, but we're willing to show you the ropes if need be. You'll get to know everyone in both our empire and our 0.0 corp, and the best part about the way this works is that you get to know a core group of friends that you "grow up" with in Solar Storm. So when it comes time to move in with the big boys, you'll know everyone and have some folks who you're used to playing with already.
Drop by SOLST_PUB and say Hi. At least chat with us for a while and see what you think. If there's no one in there, drop one of us an eve-mail. Sometimes it takes us a few minutes to respond....some of us have too many chat windows open. :-)
