I know EVE is all about risk over reward and nothing is ever for free.
But I'm currently in Caladri space and member of a Corp that doesn't seem to be overly active. I'm a miner and wanting to move out of 'bot miner' space (0.8+).
Now I know corps/alliances work hard for their patch of space, but I'm enquiring are there any corps/alliances that allow freelance miners into their teritory without the risk of non-NPC attacks?
I'm not asking for protection from rats (tho it would be a bleasing) just that I could be left to mine.
I'm from Australia so are active during +3 hours before shutdown and +2-3 after restart.
Any information, feedback or flames welcome (please not to many flames tho).
Thanks in advance, Rumbaar

I've seen the ANZACS and made note of their home world before.
The problem I see is that if I stay in a NPC corp I get to have 0% of my earning taxed, but then I get podded at each and every oportunity by 'spy' paranoids.
Then I want to be freelance but I have to join a corp that takes 10% of my earnings, and any other 'call to arms' (so I've heard).
It seems if you want protection you need to be in a corp, but then you have to do and hang out where they hang out. If you want to be mostly freelance in a corp you wont be where they are at so once again are alone anyways and don't get the benefit of a corp.
Look's like I'll have to do some sole searching. Slow ISK in 0.5+ space fighting off bot miners or moving to a corp region and being reliant on their protection.

Yeah I said that in my first post, I know nothing is ever free.
So it's really how much you want to take from a corp and if you're in on then it's best to take advantage of that fact as much as you can.
Also another general question, if you're already put in 10% of every transaction why is there a need to put in more on top of that. As a miner it doesn't phase me with a corp mining op, it just seems strange.
Also as a miner I'd be willing to mine directly for most corps as long as they gave me what I needed when I needed in relation to my activities.
I'd like a local more active corp tho :) But would they want me :)

Originally by: Gr1mreaper Try mining in syndicate. Goonfleet seem to let every one else use there space without too much opposition so what would one more hurt.
Thx I'll have to keep and eye out and work out where they are in game and maybe hit them up for some chat before hand.
Thx Leveretz, tho I wasn't looking for recruitment it seems I may have to move to reach a quicker goal.

Thx Franny.
Well I'm currently not in a NPC corp, but the corp I am in I've only seen one person online. Which at times doesn't help for tanking or anything while I mine, hence I stick to a nice quiet 0.9 Caladri system for the Pyro.
Now a non-hostile area in lower sec space would be nice, like I said I never looked for protection just not to be "Red it's Dead" type of situtation.
