Hi
I tried to set some "Mesage of the Day" in the Corp chat.
But i cannot figure out how. I am the CEO of the corp, so, it shouldnt be a problem with access rights or roles, should it?
Someone pointed me to a help page with Chat Commands, which i also found with the forum search, but they just get printed back in the chat in blue, without any reaction i can notice.
Someone else said to rightclick on the Corp channel's Tab,and chose "Settings", but this shows only "Blink Off/On". Again, I am the CEO of the corp. so i should have full acces, right?
Can anyone shed any light on this? do i have to give myself any role?

To be honest , i have never seen 'messages of the day' in the generic Local/Corp/Alliance chat channels. Only in custom selfmade chat channels like a corp public channel or corp management channel.

I dont believe you even need to be CEO , just the creator of the channel and then you can set messages, passwords and acces rihts for channel admins.
Ok, i tried it, and you are right. it seems it is just not possible in the corp channel. works only in selfmade channels.

I belief that a whole set of chat commands is forbidden like kick ppl (would not be nice to kick ppl from corp chat :). Your role as a CEO or director simply is not matched to a role in a chat channel. I doubt it would be easy to code such a match but you may want to write a feature request.

It's already available for custom channels, so it should be a simple matter of setting flags to allow it in Corp and Alliance chat.
I think it's rather shortsighted for it to not be allowed. Makes it harder for Corps to pass along important info.
