go to web page , do a petition and show the gm the mail, so they can check the logs to trace the right account, then prolly they'll do a bann on such account

Had a guy in local spamming isk for money sales, oetitioned as an exploit (I know you have already done this) it was elevated to a GM in like 4 or 5 minutes, the person disappeared from local and went offline never to be seen again.

Makes you wounder are escrow scams really scams or escrow abuse, to by pass any trail from char to char trading.

In my home system and all the surrounding systems, all of the kernite is mined out on the day it respawns by a flotilla of 4-5 month old starter-corp barge players who don't respond to comms. I've seen about 20-30 of them around here in the last month, and I hear similiar stories from friends all across EVE. How could it get much worse? High-sec is a hive of ISK farmers already.

I ment be able to buy things from escrow. It'll be a blow to real trial players, but It would stop them getting scammed (at least for the first 2 weeks) and reduce the abuse of trial account like this.

If we can force them to use a CC every time they sign up eventually you could ban all the credit cards and their info from singin up from new paying accounts.
Thou that wount work for game time cards, and in the end would force every to pay for their 1st month using a cc, woudl prob put a lot of peopel off playing.

I was having a fool around on Ebay today, when I came across Eve Online. Now, as per normal there were 18 odd pages of sales. I checked the nearest ending auction of 1 billion isk. The name of the seller was "iskseller" or something along these lines. The disturbing part, was that he had 380 positive feedbacks, all in relation to sale of isk.
So right there, we have say 300 odd isk buyers (assuming some have purchased multiple times).
I find this awfully disturbing especially as it has stemmed off a single seller. Imagine the other 18 pages of sales and the ratings accrued by each of those auctioneers.
CCP needs to jump on these and do a fake sale. Thereby they would catch the culprit, but dont catch him right away. Sit back for two weeks watching all transactions. Find his supplier accounts, and watch who he is selling too.
Then open up a can of whoop-ass on the lot of em. Finding a good seller like the one listed above and infiltrating his operation should produce a butterfly effect large enough to worry most buyers into not buying any more ISK. It is a start

You need to read up on ebay. "Fake Sales" are strictly prohibited. With CCP being a relatively well known entity, it would just be a blight on their business record to be running "fake sales". I prefer them to keep all methods above board.

I mean a proper sale, ie completely paid for etc. And then monitor the account from which the isk was bought. Monitor for 2-4 weeks while gathering intel on buyers and suppliers.
Then pounce. Just like a drug sting. Why get the little guy, when you can take down the whole racket

Won't stop anything. These guys use stolen credit cards to buy game time cards then sell those for ISK then sell the ISK for cash. They aren't bored college kids using Daddy's credit card you can just ban to stop, they are organized international crime rings.
