There is more about playing a game than just following the game rules. Everyone is expected to adhere to general social conventions as well. It is impossible to capture every situation in an enforcable rule, hence social concentions (generally are called 'fair play' in sports).
Play any social game where you ignore those conventions, people will either leave the game or take it out on you outside of the game: if you are playing a board game of RISK and always attack the person to your right regardless of your goals, then people will start to refuse playing with you (or at least not sit to your right). If you play a game of poker and ridicule and scold other players, they will stop playing with you or possibly plant their fists in your face.
In Eve, other players have a much harder time 'not playing with you', and an even harder time 'setting you straight' outside of the game. Your opponents tried to 'leave the table' by moving far away, but they failed because you moved over to them.
Nobody is asking you to stop declaring wars, they are just asking you to 'play fair'. Most people seem to think you are pushing it beyond what social conventions say are acceptable.

Merdaneth (nice name choice. It points straight to your main). I fully agree with what you say, excluding the very last sentence. And following your nice analogy, i am playing RISK, and i am keeping attacking the one sitting to my right because it is my goal. I am following the rules, and i am following my goals.
About social conventions, i agree with you even more. If playing poker i taunt, joke, or insult, other players, i would be breaking social conventions. Pitifully, this is what Acrocorp, the whining part of this confrontation, did. And following your analogy, including the relevant prediction of what happen if somebody taunt, joke or insult the players he's playing with, i decided one of the 2 options you give.
And i am planting my fists in their face.
All in accordance to the game rules and to the social conventions you were trying to remind me about.
I feel your reminder would be much more useful if addressed to who was taunting, joking and insulting other players. That is not only outside the boundaries of social convention. It is against the rules as well.

Also, the comments I directed at you earlier kind of assumed you were the relentless agressor. To me it now sounds more like you were just playing around with extortion, which I think is very valid, and then the other guys started making it way too personal. With this in mind, I think your continued war-dec on them is only fair. Smack-talking shouldn't go "unpunished" if you ask me.

Dealing with this corp sounds doable enough, seeing how they seem to like having multiple wardecs open at all time.
Contact every corp they are at war with, and group up with said corp to outblob them.
As far as I understand they don't like that.

Looks like one of the two braincells, if under heavy load, gives some result. There is a mistake though. "Siete" is "You are" but related to :
1)second person plural
2)second person "formal" singular
The 2nd is almost not used anymore in modern italian.
The correct sentence would read "Sei un vigliacco". That is the correct translation for the sentence (that i am sure you know very well) "you are a coward".

I have no real advice to offer, just a comment that during empire wars the safest place to be is in deep 0.0
In 0.0 you have to _always_ look out so there is no difference if empire war or not.
Of course that does not apply to your case if you say that your corp is composed mainly of new players who most definitely can not survive in 0.0 alone.

mah i think the acception here was funny, a sort of joke, there are many thing you can't really translate or negative terms that can have a non offensive acception.
i found way more aggresive the part about braincells than the "pupparuolo" one for example :P
not to say that previous posts in italian language had no trash talk at all and they where more focused about the fun in a game like that...
and that maybe to build billions of isks, own structures and so on is not really so funny in the end...

Hmm well let's say what i've been learing lately in this past year of gaming.
Eve is amazing, and u guys know what does it appear so different from any other multiplayer game? The freedom of action. I wanna declare, i do it, pay the consequences and pass by....i can decide to fight or to hide, to whine or to subjugate to my opponent. I've seen whole alliances loosing ships against few peeps. I have seen few skilled peeps loosing theyr ships against some better fitted noobs.
This is the amazing side of eve: FREEDOM. Nothing is predetermined or precalculated. U make the history.
Right now the Chuskarl's are playing the game theyr way. Deja Torris is playing the game his way (whining and spitting around pearls of wisdom) (thank you anyway deja, u make my life better ;) )
Just play it as it is: a GAME. Nuthing else. A game where freedom of action brought it on the top of the hills among those better known games (not better, just better known) like WOW or lineage or DAOC.
U can either decide to surrender, to fight, to whine, to beg, to die....this is eve. Just choose your path and follow it.
Don't blame peeps who play to kill. Don't blame peeps who gain some pleasure playing the game theyr way.
Blame yourself instead.
This is a game, and a game will be.
Choose ur path and follow it.
That's all i guess.

Why is it so important to make other people's game experience miserable and unhappy?
Let me be very clear I am not objecting to PvP, I am objecting to the vile torrent of abuse which often seems to accompany it. And I am strongly objecting to following people to another part of the game and harassing them after being clearly and specifically asked to stop.
And I don't agree that nobody could suffer health effects due to being upset by being abused in the game. A lot of people who are already ill play this game, I know of at least two who are seriously ill, one of whom has recently been in hospital. Another told me he was glad he could eat some soup yesterday. He aplogized that he had to keep going away from the screen because he was sick. Guess he woud be an easy target, and you bad people would mock him for being slow to respond and defend himself. What sport!
You should think about who is on the other side of the screen and treat them as well as you like to be treated. When you make people helpless and then torment and humiliate them, you are bringing up a lot of bad feelings for people who have suffered rape, abuse or torture in real life (about 5% of the population roughly speaking I would guess).If you like being abused, you should still treat other players nicely as they might not share your predilictions.
As for "I'm 17 get out of my game" that kind of abusive attitude is exactly why I don't want to play with you. That isn't cool.

I'd just like to clarify before other people post:
If you read previous posts its clear that there has been a lot of crap-talking (in-game) between the two corps involved in the war and that doesn't help end a war =P
I don't crap talk during war and I usually end up apologising on behalf of my members who do crap-talk. I like blowing stuff up but I don't want to turn a war into a vendetta any time soon.

The point i was making was that I don't want to play with you.
I've been playing eve for a long time, and I've played online games a long time before that. Eve players are among the most mature I've seen, and that doesn't mean they are all saints. I've fought a lot of players who are older than me and are crazy smacktalking psychotics, and I've fought players who are younger than me who are absolutely fine. That said, I've fought against players younger than me who are complete ****s, and people older than me who are more skilled, more patient and politer than I think I ever will be. While age has some effects, it is not an absolute defining factor, and if you think it is, you are miserably wrong. I wouldn't want to play with people who judge players by race or gender, and I don't want players who judge by age.
What I truly resent is the number of people who are below 18 who have played this game for a long time and do not smack, do not whine and do not do any of the things that you seem to imply are inherent in people my age or younger. Myself and others have put a lot into this game, and we have got a lot out. Many of us have played longer than you, and probably longer than you will stay. You have no right to try and remove us from Eve. I have no right to try and remove you from Eve. That doesn't mean I don't want you to go.

is an interesting post, expecially when she says that chuskarls love eve way more than people that focus their efforts in building moneys and richness (and that in the end they make the game more interesting)

some things that people who consider them just an alt corp of griefers/bored players should take in account.
