Just putting this out there.. my main can fly any ship very good (very high SP)
My alt is only trained for industry / Logi
I been doing C3's in a HAM tengu (about 710 DPS, but it sucks when it comes to cruisers / frigs it seems), and when other corp m8s are on we will do potato fleets in high class WH
Anyone have any idea of a RR Combo i can pair with the guardian to get higher DPS and more range? Domis the first thing that comes to mind.. just seeing if anyone has any other ideas?
My other option is to just train my alt to legion which will take about a month, but then i can have legion blop cruisers and frigs while the HAMgu takes care of the BS.
Thoughts? |

personaly I would go with a booseter alt quiker to train and more benefit than multiboxing billion isk ships in a site
my alt is max everything for a tengu and with a booster alt to supplement shield boost speed only can tank all c3s and the neutage easily with, bit more training and add the other links and a mwd/ab skirmish link then u can blitz them faster and safer than multi boxing |

There is really nothing better you can do a HAM tengu is the best thing to run sites in...As for having trouble hitting the frigs/cruisers, are you dumb enough to be using Rage or not using a target painter? |

Swap fit as needed to blap frigs or cruisers, tank harder, whatever.
Or, train for a damn Golem and be done with it.

All of the marauders can quickly clear any C3 site quickly in a decent T2 fit. Is it worth it? That sure seems to be the great debate on the forums. My T2 fit Vargur is 1.25Bn in C3-capable loadout. One C3 anom typically yields 50M-70M ISK on average, and data/relic sites perhaps up to twice that value. If you run 20 C3 sites, you've paid for your ship and mods.
Meanwhile, a T2-fit Tengu pilot who skips the "Forgotten Frontier Recursive Depot" in C3s (because the DPS from the triple battleship spawn is more than a cheap T2 fit solo T3 can usually handle without warping out) is often flying a ship worth about 350-400M ISK, and will pay off his ship and all mods in perhaps 8 sites.
All that said, a T3 or battleship with a fast remote rep ship (with a local tank on the RR boat) orbiting him works fine for dual-boxing in a C3. Such a setup forms the core of our alliance's Class 3 Blitz Fleet with attack battlecruisers, often finishing C3 sites in about 4 minutes/site with a fleet of 4-5. Due to the speed & sig of the Scythe, Scimitar, Exequror, and Oneiros, they don't need more than about 120-160DPS of local tank to handle the DPS output from all but the FFRD mentioned above in a Class 3. To handle the FFRD if you get unlucky aggro from webbers, a Scythe needs to overheat the local tank and a remote rep fitted on one of the other ships sure doesn't hurt... |

Decent boosting skills and appropriate ships take awhile to train but it is one approach that can be useful allowing you to reduce mid slots needed for tank to use modules to better apply dps - maybe even spare a rig slot to fit a T2 missile rate of fire rig and boost the effects of target painters and range of webs - giving the possibility of 1+K dps HAM tengus that can apply damage effectively or around 900dps with HML. |
