Ok we'll I havnt been able to play eve because of no more computer. So even though it will be a while and my sub will run out there was some excitement before that and I just want to be playing even again.
This thread is about the events before, not going to discuss the 30 pl dread dropped on our lowsec cruiser fight. But the 40 thrashers. How is this allowed?
I did attempt to disco Dominix them all but was short one cycle, now had I payed attention to the Em rigs and not used Em smart bombs or maybe brought an ECM. I made a bunch of mistakes, but instead a previous ally was now saying I was an idiot for fighting and he should help in killing me, of course instead of helping kill the multiboxer. I've not had issues with botters or isboxers mining. The complacency of such people has resulted in both my orca kills, and this Ali baba with his fourty theifs was a learning and fun experience. I just find it somewhat nuts that people would be allowed to do this, and what about the implications of trial accounts?? These characters were not even 2 weeks old, instead of skill training he just spammed the hell out of as many tech 1 fit thrashers as he could. Isn't recycling accounts against the rules? I guess if he decides to pay for them all with cash then all the power to him, but in all honesty I don't think it helps plex prices too much if he isn't trial accounting those things.
Well that's about it, I've been wanting to get back to eve for a while but since I can't I figured why not make a thread about this guy.
I also apolagize for any spellcheck hiccups I didn't catch because iPhones are trolls.
I enjoy a good session of mining. |

Sounds like you ran into this guy.
He can't really multibox trial accounts (unless on a separate comp per trial account) and if he has 40 legitimate accounts, this is 100% fair for him to do. Sounds like he's figured out how to zerg a target instead of fighting solo.
You should hire him, and his 39 clones. |

You can have three characters per account. So one character is the ice miner for boxing the PLEXes and the rest can be used to box suicide ganks or Thrasher dog-piles. As long as ISBoxer is a thing, you will have people using it. For benefit or detriment of the game is a matter of opinion. CCP has yet to declare it a invalid method of playing.

So what? You say that like it matters in any way. Nobody has any obligation to "help the plex price". He has every right to fund as many accounts as he wants through plex. You know who gets absolutely zero ******* say in how anyone else funds their accounts?

I'm surprised a PC can handle that. Tried with 15 before using a mid-end rig... game clients froze up almost completely (~2 fps) for the entire duration of the gank.
Anyways no, it's not unfair. It is a lot of work to manage so many accounts, to reship, and to actually move the fleet about. The multibox programs do not work perfectly and you typically have a couple of accounts that don't pick up the command.
Multiboxing 40 would be so difficult, even in full tidi you'd be constantly clicking commands and managing the fleet in most moments.
Beyond which, if we all multiboxed a dozen chars in combat we'd have massive fleet fights all the time. So, get to work on those accounts people! |

Don't drag Ripard Teg in here. I'm still watching the tears caused by multiboxers. The best way to defeat a multiboxer is to hit him with blueball damage. As of now there is no rigs to plug in blueball resists so keep hitting anyone you don't like with that. |

Citation required, i don't remember it ever being a bannable offence to own multiple accounts nor to use said multiple accounts at the same time, the only official stance ever taken on ISBoxxer was to allow it as software which still requires you to manually input keys is allowed, all ISBoxxer does is replicate those keys to all of the connected clients, macro's are what are bannable and having the client automatically perform actions over and over again was always and still is bannable, but you'll need to cite your evidence for your claim :) |

So, get to work on those accounts people! you need more ram to support more. 20 is fairly possible on a decent machine. but isboxer can also link mutliple machines, so theoretically you could have any number of character with enough pcs |

Multi boxing is allowed in EvE. If you have a proposal to change so, please feel free to write a serious and well worded proposal and post it in the Features & Ideas Discussion part of the forum.
If however you suspect the person in question breaking the EULA, TOS or any other policy documents, the right course of action would be filing a support ticket and explaining as concise as possible (and in a civil manner) what rules you suspect are broken. Posting about it on the forum will not help in such a case. On the contrary.
