Serious answer: No real way of knowing, really. We can, however, estimate, given the number of players joining at any given time, the length of time GoonFleet has been in existance, and an average rate of SP growth. High SP, long time characters within the Fleet, such as Remedial, will be omitted, to avoid any extraneous answers and for simplicity's sake. Mind that this will be quick and dirty, will not take into consideration loss of players and/or 'casual' players who play infrequently, will assume an even distrubtion of new/avg/old players across GF's lifespan, et al., but it will help to give us a ballpark figure. Given: GoonFleet has, between its two corporations, approx 1800 members GoonFleet has been in existance for around 9 months An estimated average SP growth of 1mil SP/Month (actual value is lower than this before adv. learning / implants, higher afterwards) GoonFleet has a Newbie Drive every few months For purposes of this example, we will postulate, albeit incorrectly, that GoonFleet gains and retains an equal number of characters each newbie drive, and that a drive occurs every 3 months. So we will devide GF into 4 groups. Hypothetically, each group would contain 450 Goons, but as this will formulate an average across the whole, a value is not necessary: Beginning Group Joined After 3 Months Joined After 6 Months Joined After 9 Months So: Beginning Group = (9months x 1mil SP/month) + 100k (starting SP) = 9.1mil SP Joined After 3 months = (6months x 1mil SP/month) + 100k (starting SP) = 6.1mil SP Joined After 6 months = (3months x 1mil SP/month) + 100k (starting SP) = 3.1mil SP Joined After 9 months = (0months x 1mil SP/month) + 100k (starting SP) = 100K SP (9.1mil + 6.1mil + 3.1mil + 0.1mil) / 4 = 4.6 We can estimate, then, that the average SP in GoonFleet (GoonSwarm consists of a few corporations outside GF/GW as well), is approx. 4.6mil SP. This is very roughly done, and should not held in any great esteem. It is, however, as much work as I am willing to put into this, and it helps to answer your question.

I would have to say they could bee a pretty scary opponent in a year or so. Not that the severs aren't scared allready. I've witnessed a server logging off when the Goons arrived. Don't let them fool you that they only fly t1 frigs n cruisers. Yes its a big part of their force, but if you look closer on your scanner, you'll see a lot of t2 frigs including interdictors, a sizeable amount of BS, and HaCs. And that was a while ago since the last fight I had with them, so I'm sure they have more pilots dipping into the T2 ship market. Something tells me that we could be seeing a Goonswarm blob of 100+ inties with hac n bs support sometime in the future. Oh ya Remedial log Leo back on, got some targets we need to take care of.

To our knowledge, most OSS corps are leaving Syndicate to relocate in other areas of the galaxy. We remain on very friendly terms with OSS/ERA. The Swarm is also proud to call 3FA allies, and will continue to respect their claims to their section of Syndicate.
