Also, do people allways generally try to keep the guns the same? Would 3 Heavy Beam and 3 Heavy Pulse for instance be reasonable? Is there any particular reason that people seem to suggest the same guns on a lot of setup?
I've been browsing Evemon for lasers and the one that caught my eye was a Heavy Modulated Energy Beam. Half the price of the Heavy Beam Laser 1, and seems to do more damage and use less power.
I always use a Heavy Malkuth Launcher (cheap but good) as addition, it offers great damage on a good range (37,5km base) plus i can switch the damage types i'm not covering with the lasers... Long Range is only EMP dmg with radios so you might want to carry some missiles with you, i do. I didn't get disappointed so far.
For the Cap, you might run into cap problems with your skills. If you're in the lucky state and have a a couple dozen mills over consider buying some Dark Blood Energized Passive Hardeners. They are the ****nut if you have the passive armor skills (check mechanic in market) for it. They save you the energy for the active hardeners thus leaving you more energy for the repper and lasers.
Fitting for PvE is:
HI 4 Heavy Anode Particle Streams + 1 Malkuth Heavy Launcher, 1 Tractor Beam, 1 Medium Nosferatu
MED 1 AB (or cap booster if mission is hard), 1 webber (if its against t2 support frigs fi. or cap), 1 cap (20% reduced rechargetime, i mix up the names all the time and not logged in atm ;))
LOW 1 repper, 3 Hardeners (alternate) 2 hardeneres + 1 Internal Force Field Array), the rest is cap
Drone Interfacing! (important! get drones to lvl 5 asap)
Although i have alot more SP than you i can make all lvl 3 mission being offerd as up today so you should be fine for most of the mission with this setup.
