I can fly a domi so can now rat endlessly i tried a megathron but i found it very annoying to fit so decided to try somthing smaller faster and well i found killing bs's in frigs more fun than tanking bs's in my domi.
So here comes the question, which way should i go? ive got cal gal and min frig skills at lvl 4 and although its only a few days more dont wanna have to train amarr. also my rail and projectile skills are the same levels but im lacking any lazer skills.
I want a assult ship i can pvp and pve in quite well. I thought;
Harpy
Highs - 4 rails 1 missile launcher (or blasters and a rocket launcher)
meds - em hardener booster ab(or mwd) webber
lows - 2x mags
notes - not sure if this set up would work also this is the slowest of the three so would i end up getting shot to **** by everything out there?
Enyo
highs - same as harpy
meds - ab(or mwd) webber
lows - explo hardener repairer 2x mags
notes - tbh i dont really like the looks of this ship but apart from that i cant fault it one bit so would choose it if it was miles ahead of the rest.
Wolf
highs - same as the other 2 but projectiles obviously
meds - ab(or mwd) webber
lows - explo & kin hardeners(or 2 nanno 2's - not tested them yet) repairer 1x gyro
notes - I like the speed but does the huge hole in the resistances nerf the dps (1 stab only) and tank on this ship?
I will be teaming up with a inty during pvp so i dont feel that i need to worry about people warping off and 0.0 ratting solo i wanna be able to see off anything but the nasteyst of ganks ie if an inty warps in and webs me i wanna either be able to kill it or call it a draw and watch him leave with his tail between his legs.
EDIT - Changed the dammage mod abv's to clear up any confusion

by the looks of it, you like ur stabs!
so i would recomend a retribution with its 5 low slots

well it kinda makes sence to me if ive got free slots in the lows and ive got enough grid/cpu then stick a stab in there and just incase i was misunderstood i meant dammage mods not warp core stabs

 ah k slight confusion, there, stabs is to 99% lingo for warp core stabs atm ;P
use gyros or mags as abbreviation

lol ty perhaps some constructive comments now? :) as if i would fit wcs's on a 20mil ship... or anyship for that matter.. oh maybe on a hauler taking stuff to empire.

I personally prefer enyo ... its slightly cheaper than a harpy and its tank is awsome depends where your skills are but if you have better skills in armour go for the enyo !

dont know the harpy that well
if you do alot of pve aswell then the enyo wins, tanks better than the wolf, also ac ammo usage is a pain in the arse for pve
for pvp both enyo and wolf are good, i'd give the wolf the thumbs up there, but thats because i prefer speed and i am minnie specialized aswell

If you're going to use it against NPCs, choose the AF that does the right damage type. The Ishkur is great but it takes a loong time to kill Angels. Against Serpentis or Guristas it would probably be a great mini-domi.
Wolf/Jaguar are going to be boosted soon, have good flexibility, and training Minmatar Frigate 5 gives you access to the two fastest interceptors as well.

Yeah, for Angels a Jaguar with shield tank is better than a Wolf, certainly. Then again, pretty much any other assault frigate is better agains Angels than a Wolf 
Personally I'm getting the skills for both Gallente and Minmatar AFs. Gallente first for versatile resistances, as well as drones. Later on I might even get the skills for Caldari and Amarr AFs too, since Merlin hull is the best-looking Caldari ship, and Punisher hull is quite decent too.

it is by far the best AF, as it doesnt fly liek a cruiser
