First of Mars Volta you fought bravely and you fought hard till the very end. You did not beg for mercy. You did not ask to have your stuff back. You did not talk smack when your ship and pod were destroyed. You simply activated your clone and probably bought a new megathron and continued on you merry way doing what you do. For that you have earned my respect, even though we are at war and you are our enemy. Now on to the quick story of the encounter with SA and Mars Volta......
While on patrol with a SEVERAL ships clearing the shipping routes Mars Volta was sighted near Hed-GP. As our team closed in on his location one pilot was sent in to take a pounding from him and lock him up. When his Megathron was webbed and stasified our forces warped in and proceeded to engage him. While he tried in vain to destroy the ship that had locked him down the rest of us pummled his ship. He could not reach the jumpgate. Within approximately 2 minutes his ship and pod were blown to bits. His corpse was seen floating in space as the last torpedo that was meant for his ship exploded destroying his corpse to our dismay.
SA suffered no casualties in this event only a badly damaged scorpion. All ships returned safely and all of the crew members had a couple of bottles of spiced wine in celebration.

Ok, I respect Mars, he is a good fighter, but what was the point of creating this thread? If we begin creating topic after killing every SA/FA member this forum will be flamed to hell. But anyway congrats you finaly made it

Also I will point out that several other "pirates", Rising Sin, and Dirus ran and hid when our forces showed up in the local. The point of this thread is: 1. Patrols to keep the shipping lanes open can prove fruitful. 2. Repsect given to an Enemy of SA for going down fighting and not running whenever he notices his own enemy in local. 3. To give a TRUE and ACCURATE depiction of an encounter. It was also enjoyable to get another Rus member. Thankyou

he couldn't run, They did the ole bait 'n' switch on him and he was locked down :) I believe the reason to report this is mars is one of the RUS members who actually does bring the fight to us, solo and has been somewhat effective in the past. Bringing him down is a moral victory as he is kind of a celeb in your organization. I'm sure if you shot any stain figurehead down you'd be posting it too.
I might be playing mars up more than he is, but your right it was a moral victory for the SA and keep comin back to give us more.

I'm tired of people complaining that this person or that person hid when they showed up. Normal people do not engage in a fight they know they cannot possibly win. Don't confuse rational thought with cowardice. Similary, stupidity should not be confused with bravery.
Not everyone is sitting on bistot rich region with an unlimited cache of miner II's. Not everyone can walk away from a seven battleship loss and say it was 'nothing'

Also if your are or are going to be a pirate you had better understand and plan to loose a ship or 2 or 3. Im am sure that the real pirates, although I hate them, insure their vessels and have the cash reserves and other equipment in their hangers to replace the ones lost. If you don't have the cash,skills,true grit, or reserve equipment to be a wanna be pirate then find a different job. Get over it...

So you think that SA does not fight with their wits? mmmmmmm...I must disagree. It takes wits and isk to have an alliance like SA. All isk and no wits would make for a very boring SA. You evidently have no idea about SA. Hell at least Radogor had the descency to say good job, and that was his comrad we blew up. SA is a close knit group that I am PROUD to be apart of. Enough said....thanks for posting

I'm sure everyone is familiar with the risks of PvP and plans accordingly. However, If I am in a system and several of my enemies appear on local, I'm not going to charge them and go down in a blaze of glory. Such notions are for a foolish romantic (or a third world dictator). I would take on a larger force if I could devise a plan to defeat them. If you fault me for thinking rationally, so be it

Why is this post made by a RUS member I've never seen ingame? That should be enough as a responce to you.
There are 2 reasons why I respect most members in RUS.
1. They are good players and they are up for a fight.
2. They never makes posts saying "stfu ffs ... noobz".
So Zloba, you just failed on both of them.
And btw, the reason for why they don't say "stfu noobz" is not only because they know how to talk in a mature way. Wanna see our hangar with frozen corpses?

At least the post showed some respect for Mars. Starvros when we get you we'll make sure we make a post about it too just to **** you off. Respect was earned and given in this post. Again Mars Volta thank you for the fun and if you are leaving we wish you the best. Thank you for helping to make EVE exciting.
