This is specifically aimed towards HUZZAH and CVA, but may apply to any of the alliances with POS in that area.
I was contacted tonight regarding a potential security breach in one of your alliances.
An Individual tried to sell me information regarding Tech II components and moon mineral shipments in the providence and low security Amarr empire area that borders it, he refused to name the alliance specifically, but gave enough details for us to work together to identify the intended victim.
The information potentially could result in the loss of several full freighters as the person assured me he had "insider information on a major T2 production alliance. a disgruntled ex-ceo with contacts on the inside, people in the alliance's directors forums, access to the alliance vent, and a plan to shoutcast the alliance fleet server"
Myself and my corp will not tolerate outside interference with Voice comms and such, as it is seen by us as bad form.
I'm not certain which alliance is the potential target, but if your alliance has T2 production in this area, ships through R3K, or the basics of what I've described are familiar to your alliance, I urge you to contact me in private, and in full confidence for me to hand over what information I have as the full amount I feel is too sensitive to post on these forums.
To the Alliances in the area that RP : This is a completely OOC exchange, as it seems that whoever is apprently planning this is trying to make an OOC attack, if it turns out to be one of you.

TS/Vent spys seems to be all the rage this season. Certain people would rather have an out of game advantage than play by game mechanics.

Just from reading that it does not sound like HF, especially since we don't really operate in Prov. anymore, there is another alliance of ex HF corps there now. But hey you never know, and certainly props to that.

I was thinking perhaps a current Huzzah, resenting the break away faction forming the new alliance in providence amongst ex/huzzah corporations.
But then I realised it said they had established freigther, tech II, trade routes etc.
Then someone states not CVA after their discussions.

a) this is all some hoax, as it sounds way to thoughrough a security breach to actualy happen
b) who would convo verone and try to sell him info? that doesent add up.
c) in game comms were desighned by CCP to be breachable, why not OOG comms?
d) how many times a day does a freigter get heisted in lowsec?
answer, at least 5, so why is that suddenly big news?
just my random 2 cents. and if my sympathy towards the informants as seen as incriminateing to make ME look like him, i am not, i am just another intel trader like whomever is doing this, granted not as brilliant to miraculously hack voice comms, kudos to him.

first lets look at the source of this news.. snigglets (ex or not) arent above much, why would some dirt digging be "bad form" to some one of such low moral fiber?
logic says you lock your channels and only let in people you trust, any smart alliance vent channel wouldnt be much more than a place to stage locked vent channels. alliances are breeding pools for spies
If it was a "disgruntled ex-ceo" I suspect they would have more dirt than access to a vent channel esp against a "a major T2 production alliance".. sounds more like a way for veto(verone) to get dirt on who's got freighters and T2 production in Providence
here is a simple cure... never trust anyone, esp known griefer pirates
wouldnt this post cause the offender to change the method anyways? something sure stinks here.. I dont think it's the said spy  |

Anyone who considers S******dly, and Verone in particular to be of "low moral fiber" is at least one of the following:
a. Ignorant.
b. Dumb.
c. Scum.
There are few in EVE that I would trust more than Verone. He has proven time and time again that he is worthy of respect for being respectable, honorable, and honest.
