Not everyone has their ship's computer online to cross reference it with a Corp/Alliance. It's easy to think you are just a 'faceless' name. Spy's always operate on both sides of a coming War. Could be that this isn't even going to be a War. Wars aint too good for business - well, it is actually for some items - and it's the business side of it all that has JF's main interest for now.
