Thats ridiculous. Kudos for your dedication to the game, but personally i'd never get something like this tattooed, i mean, who would you show? And why? Would they understand its meaning? Does it even have a meaning?
You don't get a tattoo for other people, you get it for yourself.

Tatoos are an addictive and expensive effort. I commend you for having it done on the sholder and by someone who knows his craft. No picking now!

2400 GBP is a lot of cash...CCP could've rented a billboard for cheaper! Speaking of billboards, they oughtta give him something for his uber-hardcore commitment, like free game time...or a coffee mug signed by the devs or something. Speaking of which, if i were to hypothetically get the eve logo tattooed on my forehead, could i get free gameplay for life? Just kidding....or am i? _______________________

quite right, all my tattoo's are in places that are covered easily and i even forget i have them from time to time but tey was done because to me they mean summat and its kinda like leaving my Sig on myself.
myself i've been thinking of visiting a Jewellers to see abotu a gallente tie pin.
which also any Devs - Would i be able to get that done? not to sell them on but cos i want the gallente badge on my tie for work also if anyone has a good sized pic of the gallente bird/crest i'd appreciate it

Painkillers Sounds wrong to me, the "pain" is part of the experience imo. It turns the Tattoo into something personal, an acctual expirience, not just a bit of color under your skin. Just my 2 isk though
Also, I dont know if its Diffrent in GB, but 100pounds/Hr sounds WAY too much to me
Appart from that... not bad, keep the updates comming

Your quite right,it is a lot of money. However,Louis Malloy is rated as one of (if not the best) tattoo artists in the UK. I live around 10 mins walk away from his tattoo studio, and i had my tatt done by him maybe 8 years ago.I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment even back then, before the likes of David Beckham got cut there and really put louie in the spotlight.
Skarsnik,i tip my hat. Having a tattoo is not to be taken lightly, and i believe you sir have done your homework before making your choice.
I hope you are happy with the end result

Hmm perhaps I should get some pink ships inked somewhere, a nice thorax perhaps?
Very nice work, I don't know if I could stay still for that long

OK well this is a little hard to gauge, but with this char alone taking 8 hours and 4 more to go with all the in-between work and it being ú100gbp per hour.
Rough estimate is ú2400gbp

Okay, 2400 pounds is about 4,979.50 CDN!!! For this cash I could buy a brand new 350 crate motor for my '69 Firebird!!!
Oh btw, the face looks a little weird, dunno something with the jawline/cheekbone...

Lizaa is the one with the Caldari C on his back, dunno how big it is, not very big i think. Anyway i'm sure he would write 20 pages on it if asked (even if you only wanted 1). --------------- RIP - Smoske, My Friend

Heya Leno...
Yeah, last time Odet was over we had a good laugh about that...
Tats are cool, but I'd never brand myself with a "game tatoo" tbh. How do you explain that to the ladies?! And you know they'll ask!
"Uhhh yeah baby! This tat, it's from a video game! How you like me now?!"
That's just my opinion but if someone digs it, hey more power to em...

Edited by: Hakk Allardson on 07/06/2006 06:14:38 Nice work on the Caldari logo. I really don't think the head and face are up to par though. Especially for 100 pounds/hr.
I think a lot of others are thinking the same thing as I am but are just to nice to say it. See if that bugger that overcharged you can fix that face on the chick. It looks very "drawn by a 13 yo" look.
*edit Ack! I just took a closer look at it again and her arms are all out of wack. He needs to lay off the freehand becasue he's messing you up big time man. Seriously, make him do a straight transfer of the whole thing. Maybe something can be salvaged. But like I said for the amount he's charging you the quality needs to be much much higher.

Just looking at the original in the Screenshots & Art area (very top left of the website) and the portrait is actually very true to the original, including the questionable hand.
But really, do Gallente next. ---

Yea I looked at the original and made a comparison. The tattoo artist has done some different stuff to the right forearm as it appears the forearm is longer that in the original and has a more armored appearance. Also on the left elbow there is not a hard enough right angle like there is in the original making it appear more distorted than the original.
I supposed it could be from distortion of the back but it just dosn't look quite right. I think some continued shading will tighten up the head/face area of the work after all it is a work in progress.
However those arms look like they are pretty much finished and they just arn't quite right.

Wow.. that's looking fantastic mate! Wish I had the balls to go for something that big, but pain + me = squealing like a woman (Not women who play EVE though, they're badass) (Have I dug myself out of this hole yet??)
I'm gonna have to settle for something small like the Amarr symbol on my arm, and see how it goes from there. But kudos to you, dude!

I am following you and your tattoo from the start. If I read it correctly the Caldari is only 1/4 of the tattoos?
It looks great! --*=*=*--
