I'd like to see the 10% drone damage/hp bonus and a drone optimal range bonus so it can start firing sooner. Maybe a 6/4/6 combo on the slots with 4 turrets. None of this medium hybrid damage bonus nonsense. Quite rare you see anyone take advantage of both bonuses on the drone ships that exist now.

ehm... i was speaking mostly to the +1 bonus to EW drones in fact in the same sentence you quoted i was also speaking bout losing the +% to hybrid (or the 10% to ew)
as said is well balanced with ship stats it could be quite interesting in my opinion, and a bit different than all other drone ships that generally are just drone damage dealers.

but then it is not a drone ship. i mean, why you want to encourage pilots to fit guns if there is already a gun BC?
as you said, giving it a gun bonus does not assure you people will fit them (domi? vexor? ishtar?), so if what you want is to avoid NOS+ECM, give them only 2 or 3 high slots, and double drone bonus.
anyway, i dont think medium nos is as overpowered as heavy nos, even if it is only for the low range it has.
about ECM... if you give bonus to only medium drones, then probably players would need to fit a web or a painter to kill fast interceptors, or use 5 light drones without a bonus (which is in fact why i think the domi is overpowered, no need to fit webs or painters, since it gets damage bonuses to light drones as well)
so if they need to use a web, a mwd, and two cap rechargers, there is only 1 or 2 meds left for ECM

This has more to do with low powergrid/cpu. Can't fit appropariately sized guns and still have a good setup.

no, I'm saying that a BC w/ really inadiquate power grid, similar to what is available to the Vexor, in comparison to other cruisers, would result in a craft that is inferior to all Tier 1 BCs and obviously all Tier2, if you were to do something like give it a turret oriented damage bonus (such as the Vexor currently has, and is of course a COMPLETE WASTE).

Okay ive read everyones posts and some people have some decent theories on the BC drone ship. Well here is what i think it should go like.
5 Hi slots 4 Med slots 5 Low slots
150m3d drone bay
Bonus's
I think a 10-20% damage increase would be great for a pure drone ship especially if we will not be thinking about using guns. And one of the following other bonus's
15-20m3d drone bay per skill level would be good so we could effectivley use Heavy drones.
10% more energy transfer for nos per level
10% more efective repairing for remote repairers (for drones)
7.5% more armour per level. Because we have a 300m sig radius we need something to be able to benefit us to the dominix?
Im sure i will get hassled for such a post but it would make a nice ship.

Bonus 1: 5% to Hybrid Damage per Skill Level Bonus 2: 20m¦ extra Dronebay per Skill Level
2700 Shield (1000sec recharge) 3200 Armour 3500 Structure
150m/s Base Speed and overall a little more agile than Brutix

i think it is time for CCP to diference between diferent drone sizes, or we will have another mini-domi
just like every other weapon on EVE, drone ships should get bonus to one size of drones. if you want, make it 15% per level instead of 10%, but only to light, mediums or heavy and sentry drones.
but that is just my opinion.
and please, dont give it a hybrid bonus. it is useless, and repetitive, and unoriginal, and worthless.
again, it is just my opinion as a non-drone pilot.

Drones have their advantages and disadvantages.
If the damage mod on drones are to be size specific CCP needs to make the drones indestructable. Its currently not possible to kill the turrets or missile bays on another players ship so why not make drones the same way. But then again, this game offers so many varieties of playing that one doesn't get bored easily, drones are quite nice now that they have fixed a few bugs.
