Edited by: Paddlefoot Aeon on 07/06/2006 14:23:06 Edited by: Paddlefoot Aeon on 07/06/2006 14:21:33 I went to buy something in the market window, and I keep having to re-sort the window so I see things listed as proximity to me (you know, Station, System, # of jumps). Every time I open the window, i see this:
1 jump System 2 jumps Station 1 jump System ...etc
Is there something from the new patch, where I have to select a specific feature to always have my market sort by proximity, or is this bugged? It worked fine on Monday.....
And yes, proximity is set as my "Primary", and is the furthest left in the window.
Help requested from the DEVS and the EVE Community!
-Thanks in advance, Paddlefoot

Actually all sorting is broken. As soon as the system updates the orders page any sort you have becomes lost. This combined with poor mouse input with large amounts orders makes this screen very hard to use.
The best fix for this screen would be 1) fix the sort issue and 2) disable updating of this screen except at user request.

Is there a way for the user to impliment the above fixes, or will the devs have to in another patch?

Edited by: Herman Letchenstein on 09/06/2006 04:54:16 This is extreamly annoying especially after you accidently buy a couple things accross the region.
Is there going to be a fix for this?!?!?
Are we the only ones having this problem?

Buy and Sell order window is broken in a similar fashion. If you manually sort the list by clicking on one of the headers, the next time the list updates it resorts back to it's initially random state.
Very annoying when trying to update buy orders at an already laggy system. Especially when it already takes 2-3 seconds for the right-click menu to register -- by the time the menu comes up, it might for an entirely different item.

I don't think the buy/sell orders sorting is completely random, I think it's listed in the order you entered them, i.e. your oldest orders at the top.
This is re-established each time the data changes, including people buying from you.
It's actually something I have often wished I could do, to see quickly which buy orders aren't delivering much, which is difficult to do when the the order period is reset everytime you amend your prices.
However I didn't want it to be the default, and I didn't want it to happen on every change, which with the occasional lag innevitably happens as your reading down the list.
Considering the player market is one of the central features of the game and I trade quite a bit, this is driving me nuts.
Annoying isn't the word, this makes trading a far more difficult and time consuming process than it already is, I almost can't be bothered anymore.
Almost ;-)

Please file a bug report on the issue. It doesn't seem to be on the Known Issues page.
