As mentioned in CCP Affinity's dev blog, Mordu's Legion is trying to pin down the location of highly important Covert Research Facilities owned by the Guristas. However, they cannot do this alone. They need capsuleer assistance to discover their location, as mentioned in this news article.
To do this, you must scan down Contested Guristas Covert Research Facilities, using scan probes, and hack their transponder towers. Doing so will reward you with Guristas Data Sequences, which you can then turn in to the Legion in 5ZXX-K in exchange for BPCs for their new faction ships. Or, if you don't care to brave null sec to turn them in, you can sell them on the open market to other players and hope they'll make the runs.
Once enough transponder towers are hacked (the Legion does not know how many they need yet, but they'll have a better idea once you all start hacking and turning in the data sequences), the Legion will figure out where the Covert Research Facilities are and start besieging them. The Legion wants to keep their location to themselves, but you know how New Eden works... They probably won't stay that way for very long at all, especially since capsuleers will be getting their hands on the sequences first.
We will keep you updated on the progress you are making as the days go by and the Legion monitors your progress.
The exchange rates for the Mordu's Legion ships are:
Garmur (Frigate) - 75 Guristas Data Sequences
Orthrus (Cruiser) - 200 Guristas Data Sequences
Barghest (Battleship) - 700 Guristas Data Sequences

Just a quick note on this:
The Data Sequence will be dropping today, but will not be able to be sold on the market until after downtime tomorrow.
You can however turn them in at the Mordu's Legion LP store as of today to claim rewards directly.

Checked this and they are despawning fine, but the timer is set to over 2 minutes so despawn doesn't happen immediately. Sometimes it will be possible to find a site with an already hacked container.

Shouldn't they just explode if the hacking fails? How about a pop-up a warning "Thread with care, the towers explode! - Do not show this warning again" - Click, close and have a nice day :) Define explode, does it deal damage? If its just the default eplode when failed hack explosion then dont worry about it
Have also changed this, will release the fix tomorrow. If they are successfully hacked they will no longer explode when the timer ends, they will instead trigger despawn of the site
And yes, the explode deals damage

Not daily, you can hack as many times as you like and use the data sequences to obtain BPCs from the mordu's legion LP store. When this has been hacked enough times to satisfy the Mordu's Legion, it will unlock the other site permanently.
Once the new site is unlocked, the exploration site will not be available, just the new combat site but the data sequences can still be traded in the LP store for a few weeks.

It was hacked when I arrived almost an hour ago, and is still there now (I did not wait on site)
have a fix for this going out tomorrow
