After Kronos patch, that is no longer the case. It says I need racial drone specialization. Now for min/gallente I already have those but amarr/caldari are at 0. What happened to if you could fly it b4 you could after?

And even having missed it, these skills are still very easy to train which is why this is an exception to their rule. Short answer is there was a devblog, many posts, and links on the launcher but mostly ^^^^ Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

Those who make the effort prosper, the lazy do not.

ARGARGARGARGH RABBLE RABBLE! CCP Y U ABUSE MAI EMAIL ADDRESSES!!! RABBLR RABBLE!!" responses they'd get. Remember the outrage when CCP sent the single mail to remind people to vote for CSM.. or the rage when the popup announcing the alliance tourney happened? Yeah. If you're playing an MMO, you know that patches happen and games evolve. You either let the updates come to you and react to whatever new environs are presented, or you keep yourself informed about upcoming changes and are ready when they're implemented. You choose which way you want to play the game. "Act" or "React." CCP can't play the game for you.

We all know about the changes, that is not the point, it is the convertion of the old Sentry skills. Let me quickly explain by using my character as an example. Before Kronos this were the Skills you needed to use ALL Sentry II Drones: Sentry Drone Interfacing V Drone InterfacingDrone Interfacing IV DronesDrones V Drone SharpshootingDrone Sharpshooting IV DronesDrones V Drones I So I have the new skill for Garde II and Bouncer II but not for Curators II and Warden II. The question is why? I had all racial Drone Specialiations to at least 4 except Gallente and Minmatar which were trained to V pre Kronos. It is not the rebalancing or that I haven't read the Dev Blog, it is the convertion of the skill I don't get. Did I need to train Caldarin Drone Specialisation to V pre Kronos( as I said it was trained to IV) to get the Skill now to I post Kronos? Why could I use Garde II and Bouncers II right after the patch but needed to rtrain to use Warden II and Curator II ?

When the solution literally takes a few minutes of training, yeah... it kind of is. It took him longer to write the post than it would have to regain the ability to use those drones. Adriana Nolen: The racial Drone Specialization is NOT a new skill, it is the old one with new function affecting Sentrys II. The reason you can use Min/Gallente Sentrys post patch is because pre patch you trained Gal/Mim Drone Specialization in order to use Warrion II, Hobgoblin II and Hammerheads II, Ogre II etc. You didn't train amarr/caldari Done Specialization that is why you now need to buy and train the skill to use Amarr/Caldari Sentry II.

The whole thread and all of the others like it all over the forum has nothing to do with the training time. It has to do with CCP's longstanding policy of "if you could use it pre-patch, you'll be able to use it post-patch" coming to an unexpected and illogical end. Illogical because not all sentries were treated the same way -- as posted here, people who could use all t2 pre patch can now use half and not use half, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

They did mail characters that can use fighter bombers (i believe), so theres that ... I'm more annoyed by the little thing you have to go through after (the now becoming more numerous) patches: Having to go thru all your overviews adding new ships/rats, checking fitted ships that had been changed just a little and there's probably something else. On the subject of sentries ... yeah it's a long train to spec lv1 oO
