Yes we blew you up, BUT you have missed ALOT of facts from your post, lets go through them.
We warped to you just to gank you, you begged in local to be ransomed, did I personally say anything in local?? no. super kilos was dealing with the ransom, YOU paid the WRONG person, YOU paid ME. I was not looking at my wallet therefore not expecting any kind of payment to me.
IF you had paid the right person we wouldnt have blown you up. Therefore you lost your apoc through your own stupidity, if you had paid the ransomer we would have let you go, we thought that you were trying to stall to get yourself through the gate therefore we blew you up.
if this is going to cause a major problem with other people we will pay you back your 50 mill, but next time you get ransomed listen to what people are telling you to do.

i tend to side with the destroyers on this one. op posts with an alt which already implies a lack of truth. If he had that setup on the apoc then he deserved to die anyway tbh.
And yeah if your gonna be ransomed you have to understand that it's a tense situation for the ransomers. to get out alive you have to
a) shut down your ship and stop
b) pay the ransom quickly and to the correct person
c) be polite
looks like you didn't follow these simple steps so you dies. they might be lying about this but i doubt it tbh. no ill feelings from me towards them from looking at this

He looks to me like a person who paid a 50m ransom and lost his ship anyway. I'm not sure I'd be as calm as his posts are if it happened to me.
It does sound like there was a misunderstanding, but the tone of this thread has gone "OMG pirates who don't honor ransoms! kill!" to "OMG the OP used an alt, he deserved to die and lose his money! long live pirates yarr!"
What's sad, of course, is that what transpired here on the boards has nothing to do with the actual circumstances of the kill. Although I can believe that maybe one of the pirates just didn't notice that he got paid during the fighting, particularly if he wasn't expecting it, I find it remarkably hard to believe that he didn't notice at some point afterwards.
Which raises the question; why hasn't he paid the money back? If I had to guess, it's because after reading this thread and posters like Lorth who have basically stated that the OP is a liar because he uses an alt to post, they feel no need to pay the money back.
The honorable pirate community finds yet another reason to justify not going after one of their own. I would ask for updates from the OP, but I think I already know how this one is going to end.

If he had only 50mil isk and an insured ship then he'd be down to 60ish mil after getting popped. Maybe then podded and had and expensive clone, so 50mil.
And maybe he doesn't have battlecruiser skill trained, so builds a cruiser and fits it with faction fittings.
Either that or hes lying.
If I were you folks saying you are going to hunt these guys down, I would require a .bmp of both the killmail including the aggressors and date/time, and the excrow including recipient and date/time.

Sounds like there was a bit of a misunderstanding then.
Usually when people pay a ransom they say something like 'sent' in the ransom convo. I don't know if the OP did or didn't do this. But tbfh, when he pays and you blow him up by mistake (I'm gonna assume you didn't intend to blow him up after he had paid the ransom), it is customary to pay back the ransom.

Well If this is true then its a shame as there are only a few pirates that do this, and it drags the rest of us down to there level.
All this has done for them is make is so that anyone else they ransom will not pay out.
On the other hand it is a two sided story and we pirates should always keep an eye out for people trying to distroy our names because the ransom person wasn't happy with the outcome and seek's revenge even when we have done as we said and released them, they will still spread lie's.

I'm with the pirates on this one, I agree they should have payed back the 50m much sooner but i've come across people like the OP before - can't follow simple instructions and just generally don't know what the f**k they are doing, the fact he posted with an alt and only posted what people want to hear and not giving all details just shows what kind of person he/she really is. No offense, but why on earth would you ever pay anyone's ransom?! It only encourages the behavior, and makes them realize that what they are doing is actually profitable. If you don't support piracy, THEN DON'T SUPPORT IT. I've had two corp members who've paid ransoms and gotten popped immediately afterwards. The circumstances were even more stupid. It was in a 0.3 system for the 1st guy, who was forced to do a courier mission into low-sec (or lose standing, he turned down 1 courier into low-sec, and the agent turned around and gave him another immediately). Everyone in my corp is under 3 months old, so we're all VERY noobish, and rarely venture into 0.5 and below (unless forced to by an agent). The attacker was a player who's employment history dates back to 2003, and has a sec rating of -9.something. Is this actually "fun" for a veteran pirate, to take down some new player, who paid the ransom you asked? I mean what's the fun in stomping on ants, really?
2nd instance was the exact same situation, except it was not a "forced" courier mission, the corp member just accepted the 1st offer and said "why not". Different attacker, but same basics, very low security rating, very veteran player, very low-brow and dishonorable tactics (dishonorable in relative terms of course, considering the profession is just scum and laziness rolled into 1 big ball).
If you don't like having this happen to you, I suggest the following:
1. when travelling in low security, Do NOT fit good/named/tech2 modules, period.
2. make sure your ship is very well insured (platinum)
3. Carry NOTHING of value in your cargo
4. Make sure your clone is up to date
What does this accomplish? It makes a pirate waste a lot of time (especially if you have a decent tank), it makes them waste ammo, and since you're carrying nothing of value, the whole ordeal ends up being a COST to the pirate (they gain nothing, or very little, as long as you have nothing uber fitted to your ship). SHOOT BACK. The more of the jerk's time you waste, the less time he can be ganking someone else and making more money. Make their life as difficult as you can, just paying ransom and hoping he lets you go gives him the opportunity to go steal money from someone else.
If your ship is adequately insured and you don't have uber mods fitted, the cost of your ship getting blown up will almost always be less overall than what you'd pay to the idiot who's trying to steal from you.
I'll never understand why people will pay ransom to pirates. Oh I understand the concept of not wanting to lose your ship and your fittings, but look at the broader picture, you're doing nothing to help yourself, or anyone else, by giving in to their demands. Fight back, make their job a lot harder.

Ok i just want to start of with saying this has got insanly out of hand tbh.
Yes i admit we blew up your apoc there are no rules in eve against doing this.
I also admit we did take a ransom of 50mil from you.
BUT
This is what happend in a short story
We saw an apoc enter otou so me and ice in bc's thought it would be fun to try and gank a apoc a little risky knowing we would have sentries firing at us aswell but we thought what the heck were give it a shot so we did.
we had your apoc into about 50% structure and then in local you say how much do you want (we had no intention of ransoming you) i then replied with 50 mil you then said ok i then waited a few seconds as it should only take a maximum of 5 seconds for you to pay me you had not payed me so i then said in local again 50 mil you replied with im doing it i said ok giving you the benifit of the doubt bearing in mind you was about 4k from the gate (2.5k activation range) i then said in local weres is the isk you then replied again im doing it i said to ice hes trying to stall blow him up i have recived no isk he could of easily paid by now so we popped his ship he then said i payed i said no you didnt as i still have not recived no isk what so ever he then left the system.
I then private convoed this guy asking why he didnt pay as i was asking this ice told me he had payed him and he did not see when the guy put the isk in ice's wallet so i then said to the guy why didnt you pay me the guy was then extremly rude with kopeus amounts of bad language then left the convo i then said to ice for the rudeness and damn right outrageous verbal abuse i had just recived from him that he does not deserve to be payed.
piracy is a part of eve so if your going to play eve then learn to ******* deal with it and this hole post is all about you paying the wrong person so in future for your own benifit listen carefully.
Anyway you have been payed back and not because of any threats just due to the fact we dont want to give pirates a bad name and we want to show we have some morales.
And to a post on the first page ( i cant be arsed to quote it) how can you gank ppl in empire ? i also never ever ever pirate in a raven.i also do not kill noobs (shuttles and noob ships) what eles is a noob ? look at my chars age if your saying 06 players are noobs.please if anyone has a kill mail of me killing them in a raven please please please post it here i would love to see it as throughout my hole time of playing eve i have never pvped in a raven.
We are not giving pirates a bad name tbh we dont even ransom ppl infact that was the first and he asked to be ransomed.
If you do try to humiliate ppl again on forums with lies and deceat please do think it over a few more times as this is the biggest load of ******** i have ever read in my hole life you stinking liar.
