hi all, Well...
Im finally onto level 4 missions for the caldari navy, and in all honesty i have no clue how to fit.
Is there anyone who can give me a general setup for lv 4s? (btw i have only one gisti sb, and can only afford one)
Or would a cerberus be better?
Thanks in advance,
Wax

Hm this is the one i use for Corporate Police Force (Caldari corp) missions. If BS present: High
6 Siege Launchers (named if you can afford) 1 Tractor Beam (or collect the loot with kestrel with ab) 1 Heavy\Medium Nosferatu (or anything you can fit in)
Mid 1 X-Large Shield Booster (this one has to be good, so sink some isk for named or even t2 variant) 1 Shield Boost Amplifier (the basic %30 percent is decent but again, named if you can afford is better) 1 Shield Extender 2 (its personal choice, go for anything between target painters and webifiers for your needs) 2 Active Shield Hardeners (mission\rat specific, t2's if you can use or afford) 1 Sensor Booster (or second shield boost amp, painter or one invul field)
Low:
2 Ballistic Control Units (go for t2's if you can afford, difference is noticable)
2 Power Diganostics
1 Anything you can fit 3rd PDU etc.
Well this is how i fly in missions and plexes include BS's as main threat. Just sit back while your torps pound poor Guristas battleships.
İf the mission includes more cruisers\frigates. Switch to Cruise Launchers and target painters, webbers for more effective combat results.
Well, as a rule of thumb Shield Resistance Compensation skills, access to t2 drones and t2 missiles makes you sleep a little safer. Good luck.

6 x named cruise launchers (t2 if u can fit) 2 x named med nos
1 large gisti shield booster 1 named shield amp (30% is ok but the higher the better) 4 x active shield hardners (t2 if u can fit)(rat specific)
2 or 3 t2 pdu's 2 or 3 bcu's (t2 if u can fit)
hope this helps |

Edited by: Topodo on 12/06/2006 02:00:13 Hi's: 3 Siege launchers, 3 Cruise launchers, 1 tractor beam Mid's: AB II, Gist B-type XL shield booster, 3 hardeners (T2 muy better), Shield Boost Amplifier Lo's: 3 PDS's, 2 BCS II Drones: 5 lights, 5 mediums
I like the dps flexibility having 3 torps and 3 cruises.
The Gist booster makes so many missions easy mode. Glad I plunked down the money for it. When I'm done with it, I can just sell it :)
Granted, there are still some missions I'm queazy about doing (Zazzmatazz, Informant, Vengeance, Extravaganzas), but I'm a lot more comfortable with the named booster. I could just replace the AB with another hardener and improve my tank.

Edited by: Arakasai on 14/06/2006 03:00:18 Edited by: Arakasai on 14/06/2006 02:56:02 High ---- 6x T2 Cruise 1x Heavy Diminishing Nos (Or TS/DB if you can afford) 1x Tractor Beam
Medium ------ 1x Gist B Type XL Shield Booster (C, B or X: Get one) 1x Dominion Shield Boost Amplifier (or Copasetic) 3 x NPC Damage Specific Active Hardeners 1x Cap Recharger II
Low --- 2x BCU II 1x Dominion BCU 2x PDU II
Depending on the mission, I sometimes drop the Amplifier for a 4th Hardener. The tractor beam I drop for another Nos if I am doing the bonus level in Angel Extraveganza :)
It boils down to fitting and your low slots are your fitting slots. So use more PDUs if you have lower skills and switch in BCUs as you training the fitting skills.
The Shield Booster is the difference between a decent tank and a poor tank ... skills only increase the gap. Focus on obtaining a Gist XL shield and then you will find your ability to tank has increased dramatically.

Angel Extravaganza bonus level solo ? If so, can you share with us how you manage to do that ? How many skill points do you have ?
I myself am able to do pretty much all missions solo, including Guristas Extravaganza bonus level, Worlds colide (able to tank whole warzone at once, for example) but I admit AE4 bonus blows me away.
