hi everyone i was thinking of setting up a space race for all those who have the fasest meanest ships in the universe.
the race will consist of 1 full lap around the universe (take about 3 hours) entry fee will be as followed, and prize money will be awarded to the first 3 people to enter the last system.
Entry fee:
10 million isk
First place prize:
100 million isk
Second place prize:
60 million isk
Third place prize:
40 million isk
Rules will be as followed, there will be check points along the way with a member of the race team at each to make sure we have no cheating.
0.0s will be included in the race and anything goes in those sectors.
people who atempt to cheat will be disqualified.
the journey will take place in dangerous places and there may be pirate interventions.
so if you would like to sign up to the race team or to enter the race please contact me.

Hm, any clue where the 0.0 check points are?
Maybe it would be even more funny to pull some racer our of the warp bubble using an interdictor ... 
So just for information purposes:
- When will the race take place (date and time)?
- Can you publish the route in advance?

i will issue you with that info once the race has been setup. it is still in planning stages.
this will be a full blown race so if you do get caught ur in danger

Good idea 
A shorter one [10 minutes] could be organized too...the first is the one who writes in a mysterious chan (name in a container at the end of the race)

Like Owi, I am (in theory) interested in this race, but I'd like to know precise rules before I make any sort of commitment.
For example: what ships/mods will be allowed? What sort of waypoints will we get (do we just need to show up, or do we take something from somewhere)? Will we know start/finish point in advence? And so on.

i'd be interested in the organisation of this - very promising idea. Contact me plz.
For rules i'd say, T1 ships only, no limit on mods. This will rely on more than just speed but also a bit of planning, luck and skill in getting by possible camps and pirats.

i am pretty sure i wouldnt want the route put out in advance, or to anyone not in the race for that matter. could be real hell for 10 ships all fitted for pure horsepower to warp into a system with 100 pirate battleships

I am a relatively new pilot, but this seems a lot of fun, not to mention adrenaline. I am currently discovering the joys of a speeding Atron that can overtake shuttles... Are there any races for newbies such as us too?

I suggest taking a look at the IRA Frigate League to see if that is your thing. The next Frigate League race should be in a week.
