So I've been looking around abit concerning standings with corporations, factions, and of course Sec Ratings.
a) Now, I ask you, can you ever get a rating of 10.00 with a Corporation? With a Faction?
b) And what is the highest Sec Rating you can get?
c) Why do you only get security rating increases from like 1 in 20 battleship pirates you kill in missions?
Answer to (a): Yes, you can (I have finally achieved a 10.00 with Homeguard (ok, so it IS rounded...but it does exclude social skills). But a faction increase takes forever, as you depend on Storyline missions and Cosmos missions.
Answer to (b): Ahh, many of you would say 5.0, BUT! I saw someone yesterday with a 5.1!!
Answer to (c): ???

b) sec status is 5.0 if you kill normal rats, >5.0 you need to kill commanders then later officers.
c) only thing i can think of is it works in time periods, like a total for ever 15mins or something

c) you get an positive sec hit for the highest npc pirate you have killed the last 30min

a) Yes, tages a long time, but at one time the computer has to round up to full 10.0 standing.
b) 10.0, as Lorette wrote.
c) The highest npc per 15 minutes per system counts.

Sorry, but you're wrong. The highest security status you can achieve at the moment is 5.0. It was possible to reach 10.0 some time and patches ago, but not anymore. That is why you can see folk with sec. status > 5.0 still flying around.
The rest of your questions were correctly answered.

So if i kill 1 rat in 3 difrent sys in 15 min i get 3 standing gains ?
but if i kill 3 rats in 1 sys in 15 min i get 1 standing gain ?

while its true that u can get what appears to be 10,0 standing with an agent or corp
it is in fact just 9,95+ wich is rounded to 10,0
u can check this with your agents,each point in standing gives u one higher effective quality.
but i have been at 10,0 with an agent for about 2 months,and im still only getting 9 more effective standing
so im probably at 9,99992735 wich although close isnt 10,0

essque you are wrong, and I will tell you why. It was possible to get a high a rating you want up until the blood patch.
There was a bug in the game that when you logged in you had a 0.0 security rating vs what you should have. This allowed you to gain rating till you logged out that day. That increase gets added to your actual rating you had before the bug. But you wouldnt see it added till you log out/in again.
