Are 400mm plates worth fitting for this? 1v1 PvP in Eve is more than half luck. If you catch the other guy in the wrong setup and you in the right setup you win, if its reversed you lose. This is assuming similar skills and pilot skills. For example, if you are flying a crow and have 1 tracking disruptor and your opponent is a terranis, the terranis dies. However, if he has a caldari racial jammer, you die. If he is using explosive and you are tanked to the hilt with against thermal, you die. So on and so forth. 1v1 pvp doesnt prove anything about pilot skill unless you are both in the sames ship with similar skills and the identical loadout. ◄ PvP University: Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

Max Teranous	Posted - 2006.06.12 14:43:00 - [12] I use a Claw and usually it's a draw with a long range Crow - I can't get near him but I can manoeuvre enough to warp away. Taranis's are evil 1 on 1 - if they get into their optimal fast you die. I love my claw tho - fast as hell, the damage output is lush and getting nossed to hell doesn't affect your damage one bit. Mordocik	Posted - 2006.06.12 15:28:00 - [20] Hands down the crow. About the only way to really beat a long range crow is to have significantly more speed, which is very difficult as the long range crow can devote all his lows to speed if he wants.

Pretty much any interceptor can solo any ship in game .. there is only one question, can it break the targets tank. In most cases the answer is going to be no if the target has any kind of a tank fitted at all, especially if the target is in a much bigger ship like a BS / BC. The reality is though that a LOT of people run around in pure gank setups and consequently have next to no tank, if an inty can get under their guns / past their defences, then they die. I have killed at lot of BS's solo or with another inty friend, this is not something limited to one inty type, but rather setups on the victims ship.

Just try to make the best damage versus tank that you can and leave the rest to luck. I would suggest getting in a frigate gang instead.
