Edited by: Pallas Athene on 12/06/2006 23:34:35 On behalf of our members i¦d like to thank the MC for the exciting visit they paid us.
TBB alliance, like any alliance in EVE, is a big experiment based on certain assumptions and ideals. While some assumptions proved to be wrong, excellently demonstrated by the MC, the ideals our alliance is based upon will always be valid.
Due to its unique position on the political map, TBB policies and setup were never without controversy and constantly discussed not only by outsiders, but also within the alliance.
The latest events will certainly have an impact on TBB¦s appearance and actions in the near future. The Big Blue will still continue its efforts in creating a non-hostile 0,0 environment for neutral entities, but adapt to the changed situation by taking appropriate measures.
I¦d also like to thank all TBB members for their commitment and effort they showed, not only in this , but all the wars they went through during the last month. We¦re living in interesting times and the best is still to come,
Thank you

Any care to comment on the rumors that MC capitulated due to the threat of Penetrate (ion) paying them a visit?

Considering MC's current power and ability I believe Penetrate's threat would rank somewhere around the current threat of purple cabbages to them. ___________________________________

I seriously doubt it had anything to do with Penetrate, afterall, with a 2 week warning after 1 week of contract was already up, there wasn't much of a chance that the two would actually meet. Afterall, most MC contracts appear to only last a couple of weeks, and Penetrate gave them a week beyond that. I doubt it was little more than Penetrate trying to jump up and down saying "Look we made MC leave, not because their contract is over, but because we ordered them to." Just timing their post with the most probably endtime of the contract to make a bit of noise.

Alts replying to alts? the implications of such an event could mean the armageddon for feline kind. Mice will run wild, unimpeded, rampant, spreading mouse **** and cheese bits all over the world. Dogs will die of obesity, with nothing to chase. The broadway show will have to shut down, without such great entertainment humans will become restless, world war will be upon us... -------------------------------------------

No lesson worth learning is ever easy. The class and determination shown by Big Blue the last couple of days proves that they are on the path to eliminating many of the problems that led to the current state of affairs. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes TBB makes in the future and how it will affect them. Hopefully, as with any EVE organization tempered in the fires of war, they will come out of this stronger than ever.
While the MC is downsizing our forces in the area, we are not leaving just yet. Per our own press release we will be maintaining a presence in the area for the immediate future to ensure TBB has time to re-establish key infrastructure with no outside interference.

I would read our press release that seleene has posted. See the link in the above post.
But in short, the terms of the contract were met so the war finshed.
On a side note however, if you want to torture a PvP'er. Put lots of war targets in front of them who you cant actually shoot :( SOOOO MUCH RED..... I was twiching every time one appeared and within a couple of hours I thought I was having a heart attack. <><><><><><><><><>

Im not going to overstep my posting boundaries here being a lowly soldier n all . But as far as Penetrate goes. That had nothing to do with anything and never went anywhere. If they don't like us that much they'll visit and we'll shooty shooty each other.

So am i right in thinking that TBB has effectively payed a ransom, because if so that sets a nasty precedent.

Edited by: Rubberduck on 13/06/2006 13:42:10 Thanks for sharing information on the resent events.
Would it be possible to go a bit into details about the learnings TBB have made, and what kind actions TBB expect to take on these learnings?
Thanks Rubberduck

it reminds of the sandbox battles where one builds a sand castle and after hours of work another guy comes along and marches right on it and it's gone in seconds.

I think there was no ransom, more a promise not to do something in the future. But it's just a guess.

GL to TBB for the future - the last few months; you guys have provided a wonderful environment for new and old players to experience. Local was always helpful and a real sense of community was being built. I enjoyed visiting The Pill and the frequent calls for LOCKDOWN and the resulting mining barge traffic jam outside when the lockdown was lifted always made me chuckle.
Chasing down CHANDOI was fun (t-shirts should be made) as was the mad, mad crokite rush by the miners.
I hope TBB continues to do well in the future and that they maintain the spirit they have shown before and during MC's attack. You guys are becoming an institution in EVE. Well done.
