Edited by: Gigi Ana on 26/09/2003 14:14:47 Won't happen, the game doesn't support it, ignore the broken option in setup.
That said, you can do it, but only if you have a video board/driver that virtualizes two monitors into one (i.e. Windows thinks there is only one monitor).
As far as I know, Matrox is the only maker of video systems that do this.

Hmmmm.... You might be able to pull it off with the newest detonator drivers. Not sure, but I know a few ppl running 2 monitors on nvidia cards.
Try using EVE dude plus to set it up in EVE. Also use the lowest resolution and work your way up. With some of the higher resolutions it reverts to 320.

I've managed to get it across 2 monitors in full screen mode on an nVidia card, but the monitor settings in EVE have to match your windows settings. So it won't work if EVE is set to 1 monitor and Windows to two, or vice versa.
I was really trying to get a setup where I could run EVE on one monitor and other stuff on the second, and that I couldn't manage, whatever combination of Windows/EVE settings I used.

It doesn't yet support 2 monitor setup (as in being able to define what EVE windows goes on what monitor), it only 'supports' windows forced spanning.
There are a few threads on this in the technology forum. ___________________________________________ Join in the NEW Sci-Fi Quiz |

Hi, I was just trying this out myself having 2 new LCD`s. Nvidia only supports Nview (software) spanning of 2 monitors in window mode and being software is laggy as hell, if you force normal view of eve and then click on 2nd monitor to say browse the web the focus is lost on the eve monitor and it jumps to task bar. The only vid card I have ever seen that uses dual-head technology and therefor hardware and non laggy window application views is matrox. Cad operators and most high end graphics users have this setup as normal. I was supprized that it was so laggy using this Nvidia Ti600 128meg with vga/dvi ports but for general non gaming it works.

Any laptop nVidia card has full dual-out support; I've played around with running Eve in dual monitor mode on mine, and it works fine--no noticeable sluggishness, choppiness, etc. You don't need to have your Eve resolution and Windows resolution set to the same values, but you do need to make sure you have multi-monitor enabled in the nVidia drivers. However, as Lomex said, you don't get anything but a window that fills both monitors, which is more annoying than helpful for the most part as the shields/power/slots gauge gets split right down the middle. So, it's possible and it works fine technically, but it's not of any real practical use.

Edited by: MAESTRO MAGNUM on 21/10/2007 10:05:11 Im using 3 monitors 1600x1200 connected to 2 videocards nvidia 7900 gs. that gives 4800x1200 total resolution. What i can do:
- have 3 screen wide 2d applications where nonlimited window stretching is allowed (example Ms Excel)
- set 2 monitors connected to 1 card to work as one (doubledesktop) - reach the resolution in eve of 3200 x 1200 is possible.
AND what is interesting then - eve remembers the 3200x1200 resolution even when monitors are set separately then.
and i can move the 3200x1200 window through ALL THREE screens.
so the point is: if somehow you set in eve-client the 4800x1200 window it will be possible to play in this resolution full TRIPLE MONITORS on 2 graphic cards (even QUAD MONITORS) in a window mode.
So.... Does anybody have any Idea how to do it? how to set a totally custom free resolution in eve window?

If i right click on my nvidia control panel i get the options:
Dualview Horizontal span Vertical span Clone Single display
I;m pretty sure vertical span will give you 1 screen spread across 2 which eve should stretch across.
