Someone needs to refer to my sig.
The sad thing about all this is that the 20 BPOs that were released by with the Ceptors has remained constant with other ships and mods (not ammo) since that time 2.5 years ago.
Unfortunately, the playerbase has about quadrupled since then, and more people on average are able to fly such ships/use such mods.
If 20 was the correct amount for 1/4 the playerbase, or even 1/2, assuming the devs were very optimistic about growth, then isn't it about time they did some rethinking and added just a few more?
I'm not saying they should be available for one and all, but a few more producers would be nice so that prices will at least stabilize and waiting lists won't be measured in months or years, maybe just weeks.

It is in fact significantly easier if you give them all to me.

This may be true - it is an anomoly in that respect. Oddly they still sell for around 1.5 bil each though

no faction miner IIs, but faction miners, strips and expanders might be nice for those of the roidhugging persuasion

You're running your business less effectively on purpose, or havent you just realized that cpoying t2 bpos takes too long?
Hey, it's the Ares. You couldn't make it an "in demand" item if you tried.

This means that your BP is running at 66% maximum effeciancy? (1 ship, then one bpc built = same time it takes to make 3 ships), so your lowering the total amount of ares that can be produced in the galaxy per week, and driving Ares prices up?? Outragous
I'd hate to call you out like this, honey, but you are assuming that everyone working on T2 bpos have unlimited resources here. One of my corp mates had a T2 bpo and before he sold it, he made ships as fast as possible and occassionally made bpc's of it because of a little thing called "real life". What's that you ask? It's when some of us have to go to work during the work week (the period of five days that usually falls between monday and friday). If it takes only 2.5 days to make a bpc and though that may seem outrageous to you, it makes perfect sense to him since he can't always go out and gather the materials he needs to make the ship. I agree whole heartedly with this idea, better that than letting it sit there doing nothing at all. Gathering the copy the materials is not only easier, it's cheaper too! So sure, he may be running at less than peek effeciancy, but it's better than running at zero efficiency. I guess not all of us can occupy 0.0 space like The Big Blue and have access to a plethora of materials.
But I will give you props for your ad in EON. Very nice. Matthias DuBastyra Imperiadux of House Draconis

Edited by: Rawne Karrde on 16/06/2006 16:31:01 I had a chance to speak with oveur in pos funtime channel back in august of 2005. I asked him this question then and his response was
"20 ish" for each type of ship 40 for each type of mod
after that i recall reading that they were releasing 80 of each ammo type. It was in a thread where people were whining about a low number of bpo's and Oveur laid the smack down with some hard numbers on what was coming with RMR patch.
as for the convo i'll search through a years worth of chat logs and see if can find that chat with oveur.
