The Patch Notes have been updated with fixes made during the the maintenance period on 13 June. Another hotfix will be made during tomorrow's maintenance period with further changes.
The items that were hotfixed are at the top of the list, between the green text. The other changes listed after the red text will be made in the future and are not slated for tomorrow's hotfix.
Please note, if the fixes do not resolve issues you are facing, submit a detailed bug report, including any reproduction steps and anything that might assist the Bug Hunter and QA teams in reproduction. As mentioned in Mephysto's new blog, poor quality or incomplete bug reports do not assist the QA teams.

The irony is that I only posted because of the second attempt I had to make. Still - nice to be first. Pretty sure that's the first time (heh) in 30 months :) -- (Battle hardened miner)

Edited by: Tas Devil on 13/06/2006 23:13:38 Devs,
Does it occur to you that this approach to informing the community of patch content and hotfixes can be rated as poor at best ?
Let me explain ...
- 4 weeks ago you release a quite broad set of patch notes... promising a lot of changes with the 'upcoming patch' - 3 weeks ago you chain saw those patch notes and leave about 20% in there scheduled for release... the rest forcasted for release in the 'near future' - Not surprisingly 1 week ago when the patch is released confusion is rife in the community as to what was really in the patch... - Now you hot fix the system and start adding to these patch notes like if they were an open ended document that evolves with each hot fix... Has no one explained patch notes are meant to describe changes to software that has been frozen at a given version of development before releasing to the customer base ?
Seriously ??? Whose in charge of communication about software upgrades at CCP ? Do you guys like confusing your customers by changing how you communicate patch notes everytime there is a new patch ? Shall I explain ?
- sometimes you fail to release patch notes alltogether - sometimes they are released and are totally incomplete - sometimes you release them in good time before the patch and actually patch according to your patch notes (I know its happened althought its quite unbelievable) - Now we have a new one... you patch then repatch then hotfix and out of what I can only assume is lazyness you modify the same patch notes over and over...
Get your fingers outside of oveur's ears and sort this mess will you ?
I'm sure the community will thank you if you can implement one single way of communicating patch notes and you STICK to it !

Meaning that the promised FIX for building barges in a POS will be delayed even if it was promised within 2 weeks - correct ? When are the future then ?
Time to give us carebears some love too ?

A moment ago, i wasnŠt unable to undock my ferox cause it was to much damaged.
Is this also new?
I can remember that I was able to undock ships with 5% Hull and reapir them with Hull repairers. Now this is impossible. Hull repairer are totally useless now.

Yeah, anyone using plates should have experienced this bug.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Equip plate. 2. Take more damage than your ships original armor (that is, amount of ship armor without the plate) 3. Remove the plate. 4. Now you have a negative amount of armor and cant undock because ship is too damaged.
Steps for temporary walkaround:
1. Relog and the armor becomes 0 instead of the negative amount.

You're right, it did cause some confusion and alot of players appearently missed the 3 lines of red text saying that anything below this point is NOT in this patch. Not sure if ccp is to blame for players not taking the time to read the entire document.
I think they wanted to give us as much information as possible what was going on, and originally they planned to release all of the stuff mentioned in the first patch notes. But for some technical reason, they couldnt, and tried to update the patch notes to keep us informed on what was going on. Stuff like this happens. I dont think its the "new" way of doing things in the future.

RTDB fix at long last. Hurrah!
That said, it would be more useful if these notes also now came with a list of known and unfixed issues with the new patch, so people know which ones to keep reporting.
And please, please, PLEASE, fix the market sorting bug soon. And the wallet transaction display bug. And the overview column width bug. They're all incredibly frustrating and annoying examples of breaking things that used to work fine for no noticeable benefit. (Not to mention making us wonder how these sorts of things can slip through testing!)

Let me make sure everyone understands I'm not whinning about the patch content... what I am bewildered by is the lazzyness of the communication...
The fact CCP had to delay some elements in the patch is a matter I'm not going to get into... I'm assuming they did so because they had good reasons... and I'm not in any position to assess whether those reasons were good or not...
What I am able to assess is how the whole modifications of the patch content was communicated...
What was so hard in removing everything from the 6th June patch notes except what was introduced in that patch and creating another patch note page for the next patch ?
Hell there is a section about 'in development' content or bug-fixes... why not use it ?
It bugs me to see how simple things could improve the way CCP is perceive as being professional and that it takes them for ever to learn this... and half the time they forget it after a while.
Sorry to all fan boys out there but by the time you reach CCPs size as a company being professional means more then writting code lines and having nice graphics... it also means communicating properly...in a simple and consistant way so that your customers get used to your communication and know they can relly on it...
Ask any long term player of EvE what's coming in a future patch and the general response is either 'we'll have to see' which reflects the fact that most of us have learned not to take the content of patch notes too seriously or its such conficting views of what truly is in the patch that you cannot help but think someone somewhere did a sloppy comm's job.
Anyway this is a relative minor issue - I'd sleep very well even if it was never addressed - but it pains me to see CCP doesn't seem to learn and stick to the basics of simple consistant communication.

To address some of the points brought up in this discussion. There was an communication break-down that resulted in the mix-up with the patch notes. It should not happen again.
The inclusion of the hotfix changes in the patch notes is a result of the client version number. The client is running 3913, and if you notice, all the patch notes have the client version number on them. Since the client version did not change after the hotfix, I included the hotfix information in the best location available to me.
Tranquility will be updated with the static data included in the patch notes on Tuesday, 20 June. At that point, the communication issue that caused the confusion will be resolved, everything will be up to date and things will return to normal.
