it seems to happen more and more now, but when trying to target lock angel cruisers I get a message like this
2006.06.13 18:52:35 notify Your attempt to target Angel Breaker failed.
i've not got a "jammed" countdown running so what is it?

I've always assumed that is some sort of weird lag-related thing. I only tend to get it if my connection is being flaky. I have no proof of this, however, so I could well be extravagantly wrong.

i think its a bug and not neccesarily client lag.
when it happens if there are others rats around i can lock them fine it will just be the one ship and normaly a guardian veteran frig.

COuld it possibly have anything to do with this?
The following changes were applied to Tranquility during a server-side hotfix on 13 June.
* NPCs that use Electronic Warfare will do so properly and NPC EW timers will display as intended.

Angels have target painting as faction EW - just as Minmatar Republic ships.
I have yet to see any npc use a painter against me.
Have there been more than just Angel ships around? Maybe a blood raider? (Dampener)

Ahh, didn't see that they had applied a hotfix, but that would explain why Angel rats suddenly started target painting me last night.
Thought I was going mad and the little 'miscellaneous effect' bar had been there all along and I'd just not noticed it. Makes sense now

As I understand it, they already were doing, but you weren't seeing a timer. I know the Serps used to sensor-dampen me anyway, but now, I can see a timer of how long they're doing it for.

Had this happen in 2 different parts of Angel Extra, was strange as I've gotten used to not being jammed by them.
Even if only now the countdown is coming up I was never jammed by them previously. Mind you, they failed 4 times in quick succession so maybe they just suck?
