Yes, I could try to grind through a 100 plus pages on posts, but I am sure that even with all the inevitable snark, someone will give me the the answer.
If I have a BPO that is in ME research when July 22 rolls around, does that BPO research job:
1. Finish the ME cycle on the timeline and cost of when it was set up pre-Crius?
2. Job fails and BPO dumped into station or POS where research is being done?
3. Research job fails, creating a rip in the time/space continuum that sucks in the POS / station, and everything else in the system, including the stargates, and that system is lost to Eve forever.
4. Something else.
If #4, what is that?

Just for giggles, I went through the 57 page thread about S&I by Greyscale. After getting 20 some odd pages in, checking every dev post, I gave up.

I have created a ticket for Eve GM's to answer.
Hopefully, I will get a definitive answer from them.
On a more direct level, I put my Archon BPO back into ME research to move it from 3 to 4.
Based on the current numbers within Eve, that has zero impact on the BPO wastage factor.
As it stands today, at level 3 it requires 127 capital components.
At level 4, it requires the same.
At level 8, it achieves perfect ME of 126 capital components.
So right now, using the bad assumption that all cap components cost the same, my ME 3 BO is 99.22 percent efficient.
I am pushing it to level 4 based on the comments of greyscale, because from what I have read he seems to be operating under the impression that my Archon BPO at ME 3 has a wastage factor of 2.5 % (what it says in-game), where in "reality" it has a wastage factor of 0.78%, which persists until ME level 8 where wastage becomes 0.0%
Hopefully, the trouble ticket I opened will be responded to......

Possibly.
I figure many goons are unsubbed right now since there are no wars going on this summer, so not much for most of them to do, other than to grind ISK. Under those conditions, I may get better treatment.

True that. When the goons play mostly with their highsec toons they lose all their benefits,
as CCP has no way of proving if they actually are goons when using highsec toons.
I guess that's also a safety mechanism to make sure people don't try this
and find out that CCP is favouring them.
