I really hope someone can tell me how to kill an Angel Webifier in a lvl2 mission. This thing is making me want to cancel my account! I have tried: Speeding up and slowing down Slowing it down (Webbing it) Small guns and medium guns Autocannons and artillery Cruiser and frigate Optimal range and under optimal range
I've spent over 1mil.ISK in refits just trying to kill one stupid ship so i can carry on with the rest of my mission, but i can barely hit the thing (combat skills around 3) and only my missiles do any damage, but it has it's shields back to full before they fire again
Please someone help me!

Medium drones and leave him unwebbed. If you web him the drones will break the transversal and they wont hit a thing. Alternatively, you can use dual-webbers to totally grind it to a halt, then your guns should get a hold of it. I'd drone him though, easiest way by far.

For starters use only explosive ammo (fusion, piranha/havoc and warrior/valkyrie) depending on what you fly it is a more or less easy to get the bugger (Angel Vipers are even worse, so watch out for those). If the mission allows it warp in at distance and use artillery. If you fly a cruiser fit some 650mm with fusion M and get 2 webs and assault launchers with piranha. The double web makes it immobile and you can hit it easily with the artys. Missiles do nice innitial damage since AFAIK the webifier uses mwd to close in. If you are in a frig use artys too or 200mm with nuclear ammo depending on your falloff and optimal (I use a wolf so small AC hitting at >10km is common) but in any case if you use guns always web or double web it and leave your afterburner running. If you use one web and the webifier webs you too (his webbing is chance based 50%? so he will not always web you) and you have an AB on your distance should be 8-10km fit guns and ammo so that is your optimal. When it is dead redock and refit.
One last thing approach the ship, don't orbit. You will get hit more often but it's the best way to kill it quick. Drones are fine if you can use them. Since you seem able to use it, try fitting a Rupture with 650mm and assault launchers an AB, 2 webs, armor repairer, plates, explosive and kinetic hardeners and warrior/valkyrie drones. --------------- When I was young I wanted to be me, my childhood dream came true |

The trick to taking these out is to get them at range and kill them before they close to orbit. If you know that you're going to be meeting one on a certain mission encounter then warp in at long range and target it first... with a few good shots you'll take it down before it reaches orbit range - even if not, it'll be quite damaged by the time it reaches you
Once it gets to 10km, web it asap with the best named webber you have (the Fleeting one slows down the target by 90% - with that and a tracking enhancer II (and motion prediction 4) I can take them down with 250mm rail guns even once they get into orbit range.
If you have no choice but to engage at short range, EM missiles and warrior drones work quite well (missiles keep the shields down, while the drones get to work on the armor).
Same tactics apply to Angel Vipers, Sansha Demons / Berserkers and the ever popular Spider drones

Web and nos its [censored] then missles and AC w/emp. Should die in a real hurry.
Had the exact same problem and this worked very well for me in a Stabber.

Thanks for the replies. I'll give your suggestions a try
Then i think i'll go back to lvl1 missions until my skills are higher. Money comes in way too fast in this game

Train your drones skills : drone nav, drone sharpshooting, Combat dones ops to 3-4
Dont web the angel webifier, light or medium T1 drones with decent skills will take care of him. Anyway, if you think about doing missions or doing PvP, its always a good idea to train drones. In lvl 3 missions, just focus on cruisers and BC, and let the drones kill the frig/inties.

Angel Webifiers. As a frigate pilot nothing is more certain to mess up a routine mission run. I share your rage and pain.
A couple of tactics and things I have learned. Though I do not yet have an satisfactory counter. Firstly they don't always manage to web you properly. The most common way I defeat them is if they fluff it and I manage to close in on them with my afterburn equiped Rifter. Secondly if I am frustrated and have managed to eliminate enough of their accomplices I will bring a bring in a Breacher (3x standard missile launcher) or a Caldari Kestral (4x std missile) which I aquired for just this sort of situation. Two rocket launchers on Rifter will not be up to the job. I always have to do this for bad guys with spider drones too. Thirdly I don't agree with Fridge Oblivion's advice to use 200mm autocannons with nuclear ammo. Even with carbonised lead ammo I won't hit a thing. Soon I will be able to use T2 autocannons with barrage ammo but I am uncertain how effective this will be as webbifers seem to like a 7000 - 9000 metre orbit. Fourthly, drones ? bah ! no thanks. Can't carry many drones in a frigate anyway. Good luck
