So, could anybody provide a good reason why the warfare link modules don't work in warp?

Because the interference from the warp disrupts thier ability to communicate with other vessels in the gang? Something like that i'm sure.
I dont think they should be able to work if your not on the same grid as the rest of the gang tho.

well they do work if you're not on the same grid, so there's no point in them not working when a ship is warping :/

Edit: lol sarmaul you better show your pals over in Corp & Discussion the goonfleet/ t1 frig math really quick With just 5 buttons you can turn a beeswarm into a pack of killer african bees.....

simple, if gang modules would work while at warp, the gang boosting ships would keep warping around and be practically untouchable. It's bad enough that anyone with skills for these that wants to use em is pointed to the nearest ss . Or you could just go to a safe spot and be invulnerable anyway. Yeah it's annoying that they don't work in warp, especialy since CS are as slow as the BS to warp, annoying for skirmirsh warfare gang modules in small gangs.

What we need is a destroyer sized command ship, that would be perfect for skmirish warfare.

Thats probably what CCP reasoned when they did it this way. I don't think gang mods are that uber to not be allowed while in warp though. It just hurts the command ship pilot - as it stands right now you park your fleet command ship somewhere and bring up your second client to play with the rest of the fleet. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |
