The Fleet 'pest is a beast of war. A tempest should be able to school a raven alone. (given raven is near tempest's optimal) A fleet tempest should be more than a match for a CNR. I would say the only ship that can outgun the Fleet temp is the Machariel.
but thats just my opinion. boost her more? why the hell not
You have no idea what you are talking about... Sorry for being blunt. Navy raven can fit 7 launchers... That makes for a huge boost in dps.
The extra midslot on the fleet tempest is nice in theory, but Tempests already are very tight on cpu for typical setups... One more midslot is not very useful when you don't have the cpu to fit much in it. Nice shield tanking modules or ew modules take more CPU that you could get out of implants, too, so you'd be forced to put in a corpoc and lose a low slot... Definitely, the fleet tempest could use some reworking... It might work fine for NPC'ing... but I'd never use one in pvp even if I could afford it.
the DPS is formidable, but its by no means 2 battleships rolled into one or anything like that.
Yes, you will need a CPU. (took a look at my setup to confirm)
'Win' Setup will look nothing like testy's (though i like his)
now you have nice killboard stats, but you have to do better than that to impress OR convince me... and suggesting i have no idea what i'm talking about? thats just rude, not blunt. I put alot more faith in a versitile faction ship like the fleet temp/ mach/ vindi, as opposed to a more than predictable missile spammer. (no matter how expensive). midslot nice in theory? its really on the ship, check it out. not only that, you can put any mod in there your heart desires (just make sure you fit the 650's not 800's or you will never have the cpu to make a good setup).
but i never expect a raven lover to even understand a tempest, more or less hold a candle to it in battle.
and on another note. these ships are all about owning the pvp field imho. just takes the balls to undock (and it takes alot i admit) and the fact YOU would never use one in pvp... well i guess thats on you
now if we are done w/ personal attacks. back to good setup. remember, she may be tight on CPU but 10x easier to fit than a gila. dont want to Totally give you my setup, but like i said, you want 650's, NEED cap injector, dont forget damage mods and dont waste your mids on what your drone bay can take care of
edit to add: ok one more hint.... is that dinner burning or do i smell an Xlrg CL5?
