Erm - don't some of these 3rd party apps violate the EULA?
Not to be a party ****er - I just don't want to have any unrealized issues with any of these :)
(Evemon, for example)
*Edit* - Apparently the language filter is going to make me say "Party Fecal Matter Thrower". I hardly think that sounds better, but...

I am pretty sure that it just automates reading the xml format of the character sheet availble though the website.

How does EveMon violate the EULA? All it does is download your "my character" XML and load it into a third party app.
Yes, you can plan skills and ships on it, but it doesn't interact with eve.exe to change you skills for you.

Define 'most'. And perhaps you could be more specific so that us computer dopes can be wary, whilst some computer geeks can verify/discredit your statement.

Such serious allegations require proof.
Especially as most of these are open source or web-based tools, your claim is not just unreasonable but purely ridiculous

Now boys, STFU!
Most of these programs are clean. IF YOU GET THEM FROM THE OFFICIAL SOURCE. Stop. Go back and read that last part again ok?
If you find some random link to them and download it, who knows what you might get. ___________________________________________ The deeper you stick it in your vein, the deeper the thoughts there's no more pain. ___________________________________________ |

Havent found ANY problems with any of the links or files listed on the first page...and I didnt need a "server" to tell me that. Hate it when standard users try and use terminology to make themselves look good. If you have a "server" in your house...then a. you work from home. b. Your just talking about a fairly high end machine and you like to make people think you have a "server". I have a server, but its at work.. and its an IBM Blade....that IS a server, not your P4 3.2 256mb ram 10gb hdd machine with a bootleg version of Win2k Adv Server or linux OS on it.
Anyway...not to Hijack this thread....on with the reply to questions.
TS overlay is a good tool to see who is talking while on large pvp ops. Its not illegal in anyway. The only downside to it is while making movies, you still get the TS overlay coming up after CTRL Tabing. But yeah...good tool, try it.

I used to have a good program that I loved but lost during a reformatting. It was similar to one of the fitting programs, but was mainly geared toward mining (I think it would do combat, too but I can't remember for sure). The interface was a piece of cake to use and it would tell you stuff like exactly how much of whatever type of ore you selected that you would mine per second and how long it would take to fill your cargo bay. It had a nice spot where you selected all the skills you had that related to mining and what-not, and it also took drones into account. I looked through the list several times and didn't see anything that resembled it. If anyone out there knows what I'm talking about, I'd love to hear from you! I'll see if I might have it on a backup disc somewhere. It'd be a great addition to the already impressive list here. Great job thus far. This is one thread that truely deserves to be bookmarked.

Sorry I havent replied to this threads sooner, I guess I just missed on my daily trawl throught the forums.
Yes I do still develop this application it's current version (along with the other appications I write) can be found inthe EVE Applications section of the PioneerX forum (www.forums.pioneerx.co.uk), however there is no specific website for it, as I;m not much of a site designed. There is however a manual for it now .
