Could we get those, similar to Concord tags, to get myself back to -5 with Diplomacy
I'm sitting at -9.something on a few mains, and Diplomacy IV brings it to -5.something. (Diplomacy V won't clear -5, either).
There's a way to fix it, yes, but it's one-time, which is why I'm reluctant to do it--I may decide to break my standings again in the future.
What I could use, and would use, is a standings tag system that gets me above -5 for some ISK, similar to Concord tags. just enough to make me not an enemy of the state when I fly through.

Why not remove Faction Navy attacks instead? Except against enemy militiamen. |

You will always have access to lv 1 agents regardless of your faction standing, so you have a recourse that is not "one-time only" |

SoE epic arc is a stop-gap measure until this thing gets implemented. Accept missions on dude that needs standing, fleetwarp alt to mission, complete mission with alt, hand it in with main, repeat until epic arc completed and standings fixed somewhat. Repeatable once every three months. |

Hey guys, I'm not sure if you're waiting for me to reply.
I don't think Faction Navy response to Faction standings should be changed. It adds content.
Level 1 agents and the SOE epic arcs are there, but it's on the same level as belt ratting for sec.
it won't take much. -7 with Diplomacy III will do it.
-8.7375 will derive to -4.99 with Diplomacy V
-7.84524 will derive to -4.99 with Diplomacy IV
-7.03409 will derive to -4.99 with Diplomacy III

I went from -8 with amarr to -4.67.How?
I found all data agents from the ally faction for amarr is caldari and anmatar.I bought all tags that could bought and deliver them.I did some level 4 missions for anmatar fleet(which gave me standing for amarr also) and here is my standing .

The only problem with the Data Centers is that you can only use them once. But I am of the opinion that flying a couple dozens of L1 missions to get 3-4 storylines is nothing unbearable to do.

Not sure if I want to support this, there are already existing mechanics in the game to fix this. I know, they are painful, bee there myself, nothing hurts more then being demoted to run 72 level 1 missions with a 120 mil sp toon and 3 bil fix costs a month.
But I guess we all have to be there once, to take care of the standings in forehand rather then having to fix them later, which means running FW for one, then the other in turns or run for allied factions to bounce back or or or.
Its hard if you are roleplaying for one faction, but then play all the way and be an enemy of that faction.
My conclusion, I don-¦t really want this to be easier, as I was a against the security tags, but thatas my opinion. I would rahter see the 'accidental' faction standings loss to be less sneaky and impactful for beginners. That-¦s usualyy where the real problems are. |

truth is, I knew damn well what I was doing, accepting missions against Gallente and Minmatar for Caldari Navy (Enemies Abound). The reason I'm on the fence about the faction standings, rather than wanting to fix them for good one time, is the value of those missions. They are what I would fall back on if I run myself out of ISK--with a couple oracles and a scimitar or two, total cost of less than 400 mil, you can farm your funds back up.
I just see a corollary between faction standings and sec. and intentionally wrecking them, and having to rat them back. and would like something similar to the sec tags mechanic.
the appropriate RP tags are already there--navies. no need to create new ones (such as the clone soldier series)

I only have 1 character like this, but it is a pain. Mainly because I completely forget until I hit Gallente space then start screeching like a muppet. All that yelling in local tends to make me freeze panic >.> There are ways to correct it, but it seems a wierd thing to have to grind (or have a once only option to fix via DC) now that we can buy Concord tags.

Now I understand the reason they added the Sec Tags, just as I understand why you would want Faction Tags... but to be perfectly honest, what is the point in even having a Standing System if you can simply bribe your way back into favour?
I think actually it would make sense if there were just actual realistic opportunities to repair Standings via in-game actions; not in-game wallets. Sure you can say "Well you could always farm the Tags", but let's be honest most who are willing to put in the time to farm the Sec Tags don't need them; chances are something like this would be just as true for Faction Tags if they were implemented.
What would be better is if Concord Space was expanded, so it included a few "Embassies" from each of the Major Factions that provided Missions that allowed you to improve relations with that side. More options rather than an easy fix, that are far more accessibly really is what is needed. |
