I would think that many would be clamoring to get into one of these fun little guys.
Are they just not popular?

They are extremely specialized for a specific fleet role and require high skills.

Thats because the people that can fly interdictors aren't the type that start "how do I fit this?" threads. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Hit the nail on the head, plus they're not as glorious to fly so you don't have interested newbies asking how they would be fit =)

Thats part of it but really they are very good at very narrow range of uses. So most people arent even intrested in training toward them.
Wherever you went - here you are.

Highly valued for high-end, massive fleet battles... kind of like raids.
Very vulnerable, the first things shot at in said fleet battles... kind of like those cleric sissies in fantasy MMOs.
And you wonder why they're not popular to fly... but are in demand!
Just think about it for a second... then log into World of Warcraft. Or City of Heroes for that matter. Or especially Guild Wars! What's the first thing you hear?

Interdictors are fairly no-brainer to fit. In addition to the probe launcher you'll either have racial guns and a light tank fitted (for popping frigates) or you'll be fitting a cloak and nanos so you can't be scanned at a gatecamp. Sig removed, lacks Eve-related content - Cortes |

Theyre actually fairly easy to train for....their requirements arent high if you already have the basics (decent propulsion jamming and inty 4), that most PvPers will have.
The reason you dont see many posts on them, is partly what was said above (people who fly them tend to be people that dont need to ask). Moreover, though, it's because the setups on them really aren't relavant; they're really for group/fleet use, not combat, so they only need to do two things - drop a bubble, and stay alive.
Which means, setting one up is usually as simple as Probe Launcher, Cloak, Speed Mods. And anyone who wants to fly one in combat, well - is crazy enough to try crazy setups :)

Two people in our corp can fly one, I can soon
Would think they`d be pretty sweet solo against 1 or 2 AF or inty? Especially the flycatcher? With massive speed and T2 Rocket launchers?
Can someone confirm this?

Yep a flycatcher with T2 rocket launchers can shred any ceptor daft enough to get close. but only 1 on 1 would not want to try 2 on 1 but may be doable would depend on the pilots involved.
Also the name for dictors in my corp is Flying Coffins which is sadly true in fleet engagements they have replaced the scorp and bb as ship most likely to die 1st

It's quite simple actually.
Three of em are useless compared to the fourth. And you dont see any threads about the fourth because it can just stuff an MWD, Tank and set of its biggest autocannons on without any grid mods whatsoever. ****, i just gave away which one.
Oh well, atleast the Heretic has its looks going for it.
Stay the fck away from my sig, thx.
