Thank you for those who have registered their condolences and support for us in this dark time.
I will not attempt to respond to the path this thread has took. I will not allow the death of my corporation to be taken as an opportunity for petty point scoring and oneupmanship.
Eden, thank you for your olive branch, even though it is said through gritted teeth I respect the sentiment and you have my gratitude.
As I have said before, I will refuse to comment on Maxell Snow's actions other than to state what effect it has had on my corporation and it's members. Their welfare is my primary concern, not the ideological beliefs of our former CEO. His path is his to choose. I would rather this had not happened but as it has, we must attempt to move on.
Originally by: Kaeleron . . . and in the overwhelming din of bickering and rhetoric of it's associates Krysalis Industries gasps it last breath into oblivion.
The most accurate statement in this entire thread.
Thank you to everyone who has been with us on this journey.

Jacq, while you and I have occasionally sparred over political matters, you have my condolences on what has befallen your corporation.
For one to turn his back on his comrades and to destroy the entity that a team has worked hard to build, that is a terrible fate to befall your employees.
I wish you well. There is always room in State space for motivated individuals that know the value of teamwork and sacrifice.

Maxell: It saddens me to see that this was your chosen course. I only wish there was something I might have done to prevent this schism.
Eden, Tomahawk and others of IU: You disappoint me further every time I see you speak your minds, expressing nothing but destructive, negative and down right creul attitudes towards good people. You do not consider your words nor the weight they carry on to those who have dedicated nearly their entire career to the longevity and well being of this region.
To everyone:
The success of the placid movement is not in the number of weapons fired or in stations erected, but in the overall safety of the region, economically, politically, and financially.
It saddens me, to my very core, that if I remain in this region, with Krysalis' passing, I will likely find myself driven from the region by pirates, or if not pirates, extremists bent on sending this "Gallentean Dog" home.
If this trend continues, that of hatred and intolerance which Intaki Union so wishes to engender, then I fear for the future of Intaki and the Placid region. You accuse those of us who have loyalties to the Federation of bowing to Blaque's rhetoric and fearmongering while you yourselves rely on it more than anything else. You try to achieve your goals with the same shameless tactics those you wish to oppose do.
I ask of all of you, please, heed these words: Treat your fellow man with the respect you would wish yourself afforded in his shoes.

It's obvious that the closing of Krysalis Industries is only the tip of a greater political iceberg and I'm curious as to what this whole story may be. However this isn't the place for such things.
My condolences go out to those dedicated Krysalis pilots who have lost their bonds of fellowship, both formal and intangible. Your group has done much to better the Placid region and its people. As someone with friends and family living there, I can't thank you enough. I hope all of you success in whatever challenges lie next.

And here you wonder why I prefer to mostly stay with my own.
Anyway good luck in your endeavours Maxell, Jacq, the few Krysalis and Kimotoros as well True Cores and the others I know from the sumnit channel. The world has proven again I'm better off with not bothering with it at all.
It's not the people, it is the constant drama that surround human beings.

Edited by: Saikoyu on 22/06/2006 04:55:14 This is indeed a sad day. I remember the help Krysalis gave to us in our time of need. I will do my best to return the favor. To those members of Krysalis former and current, I wish the best of luck.

I attempted to calm the tempers and placed myself directly between the two opposing sides, stating that anyone firing upon another member of Krysalis, regardless of their positoion, would be engaged by me should they initiate such an action. The situation deescalated but Maxell Snow dissapeared. The two operatives who took part in the operation tended their resignation.
I am sure you meant a 'proxy' stood directly between the two. A spine is required for such a noble action.

Coming from a man who is part of a pathetic illegitimate attempt to ride upon the coattails of another's success and military prowess and who assists others in warfare against vastly inferior foes, I hardly think you have any foundation upon which to accuse me of lacking 'a spine'.
Leave us be, your opinion is worthless and insignificant and any amount of bleating and snide comment does not make you any more of a factor in galactic politics or further any tenuous claim you may have for legitimacy. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To win a war, one must know which battles to retreat from. |

Has it really come to this in Placid? Another region falling to in-fighting...
To the region: I hope for the sake of my former home that egos are put aside to help mend the wounds that have been inflicted. Now is not the time to make rash decisions and attak others with words and worse.
To my dear old friend Max: I am truly sorry you feel you have needed to take this path. It has been a long time since I have removed myself from the politics of Placid, but I do wish there was another recourse for you. I hope some day in the future you will return to the Federation.

Im not out for political superiority. - My views are my own, that of a mercenary. I was just highlighting the 'ligitimacy' of your claims as this is clearly not in your nature. My opinion is worthless an insignificant enough to warrant a response.
I just wonder if your political banter will save you if warfare ever broke out.
With regards the 'vastly inferior' foes. All I will say is your entitled to your opinion, even if it is only conjecture and half truths. As a politician your greatest strengh is your ability to make something of nothing.

Well, firstly, if you are implying that it is not in my nature to engage in combat, you are mistaken, I simply believe that words appear to change far more than combat ever can.
Let us take a case in point;
Your allies the Intaki Union declared war upon Krysalis Industries and one letter to the Vremaja Idama caused the war to finish and the Intaki Union was forced to negotiate with us. We were outnumbered and outgunned but to all intents and purposes we won. We won with 'political banter'. I am not averse to getting into a bit of combat, during the above conflict I was one of the few Krysalis pilots actually proposing military resistance but was outvoted. However, situations can always be manipulated to best suit you by the words you use and how you say them.
If I appeared to take offence, I believe it is with good reason. No matter the war of words we may have had previously, mocking my attempts to prevent my friends killing each other and the corporation I have built being destroyed in a blaze of railgun fire was a little petty.

I just came back from an extended business trip through outer regions of our universe, only to find the message of the resignation of Krysalis Industries. That is bad news. Being a resident in Placid, I counted on Krysalis as one pillar of stability and sanity in this beaten region.
Who will fill the gap?
