Let me first start off by saying I know I messed up and I am stupid for doing X and trusting them. But hey you live and learn and that's part of EVE and there's always tomorrow.
Goonswarm recruiting to kill there new members and take some of there stuff???
So today I was looking for a Corp which was in null, and that I can help support with my 8 accounts being a huge industry guy and all. A couple days ago I was invited by Lyeni of Outer World Industries [-OWI-] in Goonswarm Federation. Made it sound interesting in joining, was really just wanting to get into a corp with a settled Null system and continue playing the game and make billions a day again. However that was not the case with this story. Instead they had me pack up some things send over X via contract to haul over and the rest I packed into my jump freighter and jumped out. Then I was tackled and killed and podded, they wanted me to eject ( lols ) I didn't. My total lose at the end of the day roughly 4b. Yes that is a good amount of money, and well I guess I was not cool enough for the Goons of EVE, it means little. Could I have prevented it? maybe if I wasn't so trustworthy idk?
Just thought I should share my story for the day for all to laugh at, or learn from or whatever you want. Life goes on and I will make my isk lose back in acouple days doesn't really matter when you have 8 accounts, just a shame I couldn't join.

Homework, google, 90% of the pilots in Eve, Goons themselves, asking in local, could of enlightened you to this scam...

Well idk I'm not exactly a veteran or by any means experienced in eve outside Highsec. Also it really wasn't much to lose for me. I have 8 accounts, 4 miners, 1 orca pilot, 1 freighter pilot, 2 pve toons, all of which have maxed P.I. skills and I can make 1-3B in a day so its not even a setback just a lesson learned. I was trying to get escape highsec but I guess Im not ready, gotta research some more. Live and learn I will still continue to play the game till the end. |

Man this forum post has really become popular, so glad people got some type of happiness or joy out of my mistake and ignorance. Everyone is right I should have googled it, for future corporations that I may join I will.

bad case idk what your talking about? I Joined one of your guess corp, registered and accepted on the forums, jumped out and died. A lose but not even close to half or a dent to my wallet. Lesson learned don't trust anyone regardless if it takes them 3 days of convincing you to join. |
