Not serious, obviously, but you must come from a different Europe to the one I do

Really? Then how do you know that its not intended to be 0.36? Do you have to guess? Is this why Greece, Portugal, etc. . . are in the shyter? I don't play, I just fourm warrior. |

Which leads to absurd constructions like:Quote:There are exactly 29.360,. Trailing decimal indicator , followed by sentence terminating period .
Or alternatively: Quote:There are exactly 29.360. Which looks slightly like the sentence ended prematurely.
I prefer the unambiguous: Quote:There are exactly 29,360.
But then I also prefer to write dates as either 25 June 2014 or 2014-06-25, so I have a penchant for disambiguation.

That or just use the space between as a separator so 29 360,00 moons simple, eh ?
But you muricans still use antiquated cheques and such so having a space between thousands would be too much to ask in a hand writing I suppose. |

I'm not sure if you're serious, but do you think we don't use the comma in numbers at all or something? Because we use the comma as a decimal point. Comma and point use are just switched, that's all.
Fun fact: Because even programmers can be dumb, I have programs on my harddisk I can't use when my OS is in normal, German localization and when I switch to (for example) US-localization, I can suddenly use those programs but many of my German programs stop working.
A lot of databases used in that cheap **** is hilariously prone to confusion if commata and points are switched around. |

answers to some questions :
1) about the humor on decimals... i know you guys are smart to understand the usage ;-)
2) about the 0.4 sec status... Kenneth Feld (thank you man) pointed me to this thread : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4707013#post4707013 as you see MAYBE in the near future you will be able to moon mining also in 0.4 systems. i can tell you that some 0.4 scans have already been done, but not visible on the database. WHEN and IF the changes will be applied to TQ i will change the website accordling. (so it is not a NO, but a WAIT AND SEE)
3) about the "HARVESTABLE" tag... it indicate that you can anchor the Moon Harvesting Array. from : https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Moon_mining "Please note: The Moon Harvesting Array can only be anchored in systems with a security rating of 0.3 or lower!" the harvesters have major restrictions compared to other modules. if you read the previous point this MAYBE it will be subject to change.
4) about the null sec scans... i know there not a lot of them, but im also working on it :P E-PLEX : standalone application to live monitoring plex prices in all regions https://github.com/Honneamise/E-PLEX CEMDR : C library to interfacing with an EMDR server https://github.com/Honneamise/CEMDR |

1) Some other threads about moon scans are out on the forums. At the moment i will not put the external data on the website. We can talk about it if someone is interested to merge scans from different sources. What i can do is compare stuff and check for errors .
Some very good work from the following guys :
***** ---Marlona : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4725058 he scanned all the fountain moons 4849 in the past (pre-odissey) i have scanned 3883 moons.
comparing the data only available to me (3883 moons) we have :
151 differences ( if we count both differences about abundance and presence of a mineral on a given moon) 79 differences ( if we count only differences about mineral presence )
this give us in the first scenario a margin error of 3.8% and in the second case a reduced margin error of 2.0%
The Marlona's data anyway have some errors in it. Just for example in his excel sheet have a duplicate entry for : Z-YN5Y II - Moon 1
by the way i am quite satisfied for the results, we are dealing with huge numbers !!!
**** ---Stoseph Stuarts : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4776544 he mapped low sec heimatar moons, unfortunatly at the moment i have no data to compare :-( ( after crius release i will check it )
2) Someone send me request for the database data : Yes, i can provide it as sql dump upon request ;-) Anyway i have seen this post : https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=355387 and im working to export the data also for sqlite3
3) My Web Hosting will upgrade php to 5.4 on 14/07/2014 . I have already checked the code with the new php version on localhost and all seems to work correctly, but you know, something can always
go wrong...
4) Yes, im scanning the future moons available in crius ( finger crossed ) . E-PLEX : standalone application to live monitoring plex prices in all regions https://github.com/Honneamise/E-PLEX

What would make this really interesting for scanning and all of the null sec alliances is if the moon goo actually depleted over 2-4 months and otherwise depleted moons become resource rich. |

- Reached 32k scans !!! ( exactly 32.003 moons )
- Added a " Crius special " page for the upcoming Eve expansion
- Added a " Stats " page for statistics ( it can take some time to load )

SOME UPDATES :
1) added the ENEA space probe page !!! a funny project am plying with .
"A space probe is a unmanned spacecraft that leaving a planet orbit explores the deep space. It may approach moons, enter interplanetary space, fly by, orbit or land on other planetary bodies. Over the years some EVE entities ( capsulers, corporations, alliances ) have launched several probes into New Eden space to retrieve important data to mankind.
The EVE MOONS PROJECT own one of this probes : ENEA "
see the related page to read what it can do !!!
2) edited some layout : somebody told that the moons page where too difficult to read due to the qty of numbers in it, so i removed the "0" print for abundance parameter and other colors changes .
3) added 700 more scans : mainly low sec due to the crius changes , (see previous posts) E-PLEX : standalone application to live monitoring plex prices in all regions https://github.com/Honneamise/E-PLEX CEMDR : C library to interfacing with an EMDR server https://github.com/Honneamise/CEMDR |

I'd be willing to bet you mapped the locations of the moons. I'd be willing to wager further no moon was actually mapped. What gives me such confidence? It certainly couldn't be the tendency to overstate things so prevalent in today's culture, could it? Anyone with any sense has already left town. |

Hi,
here some software update and fixes :
-fixed a division by 0 error ( Brrr...) ( this happened for system ids : 30000128,30004928,30005286 cause they have no moons in it !!!)
-fixed enea page update (the page now automatically skip errors)
-added footers to pages for future use (this is just completing a template stile as headers-body-footer)
-added in the search page the option to search for simple reactions (this is usefull if you are looking to build a simple reaction in a certain solar system, or from a specific moon)
-added a simple counter to keep track of website stats (no cookies, this is a simple counter to have an idea of the website usage)
-the stats page will now load instantly (the stats page now have benn converted to a static page to avoid long time loads)
i have marked what I think is more usefull, let me know if you have more ideas .
(Of course some errors are possible, be free to contact me.)

Very small db update , around one hundred moons ( some are re-scan of old pre-odissey work ).
NOTE : on 01/02/2014 the special crius page will be removed , you will find the scans on the standard database.
PS : in the last 2 months i have been very busy with RL, next months i should have more time for new massive scans .

UPDATES 01/02/2015:
- As stated some time ago the Crius special page as been un-linked from main menu and will be deleted next month ( anyway scans will be availabe throught regular database search ). ( IF YOU GUYS THINK THE CRIUS SPECIAL PAGE STILL USEFULL PLEASE LET ME KNOW !!! )
- Google analytics has been inserted to better keep track of website stats. the previous stats were generated by my own php counter, a very simple collector but not much complete as the service that google can offer. My counter will be up until next month in pair with google analytics, after that only the google service will be active .
- As you can see i have added 2 google ads at top and bottom of the pages ( of course some click on banners will be really appreciated :-) )
DONT WORRY GUYS !!!
http://eve-moons.com has been ( AND ALWAYS WILL BE ) a FREE resource for eve capsuleers !
PS : i have more than 2.000 discovery survey probes ready to launch

The google analytics has been REMOVED ( i dont like the cookies policy to track people for obvious privacy reasons)
some spare thoughts :
-Stain region still not completed 'cause some dude exploded me at the undock :-) -i will stop to use sb to scan, due to the nerfs it is now useless for this kind of work -the rate of production time for probes IS TOO DAMN HIGH !!!
some addiction for the future : -alchemy research page ( like the reactions search ) -simple diagram to explain how to CORRECTLY use the ENEA page !!! -prices ( polling public api to get average prices WIP )

01/08/2015 UPDATE : new MARKET section !!!
Well this is not a normal scans update .
People like to have a simple and fast visual way to understand the "trend" of a market or answer questions like : "Will my PRECIOUS Vanadium go up ??? "
So i decided to generate some graphs to better have an idea of the current situation .
Of course for what we love : the moon materials !!!
In the market section you will find :
- the EMMI index ( Eve Moon Materials Index ) - a separate graph for each moon material
The graphs are reporting the last 365 days of the average market price IN THE FORGE REGION ( yes, Jita prices ) .
The data comes from the CCP Public Crest Api .
PS : my idea was to retrieve the infos using the eve-central history api , but is no longer working....
