Do you think that the price of exploration loot will go up with the upcoming industry changes?
As a result of more people jumping into manufacturing, will the price increase with the demand? Also, I understand that invention is no longer going to render -2 ME, and will rather render a default of +2 ME. Does this mean that the price of invented items will go down, and demand for them go up (desprite the items needing less materials)?
Let me know what you think!

You do not think that more people will get into manufacturing after the patch? Right now, manufacturing has an intellectual and research requirement to it. With the patch, there will be no more (or less of a) need for spreadsheets and such. |

There is no question that, short term, more people will be in manufacturing post Crius. Just as a whole bunch of people that never really run exploration sites gave them a new try after Odyssey.
As for market impacts - some decryptors get worse (Process), others better (Parity, Symmetry, Attainment). https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=346564 - a proposal to overhaul the Logistics skill https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. www.minerbumping.com - ganking miners and causing chaos |

Why do you think there will be less need for spreadsheets? There's going to be a lot more factors to consider after the patch. .

What you're asking is really if more people will get into manufacturing. The whole point of these updates IS to get more pilots interested in manufacturing. Naturally if more people are engaged there will be increased demand and naturally increased demand will drive up the price of said items.
So I ask you, will CCP succeed in making manufacturing a more enjoyable experience thereby tempting more players into manufacturing?
I believe they will be successful. |

No, in fact it will go down even more ,because t2 bpcs will be researched to 0 ME, therefore will require less salvage components |

i think they are changing the base cost to compensate tho. Meaning the old -4 me will require the same stuff as the new 2 me |

Source? Because that seems like wild speculation. Especially considering the impact that will make on BPC's made with decryptors and T2 BPO's |

I'm 90% sure I read the same thing, that the required materials would be adjusted up so the new default ME on invented BPCs under the new system would be roughly similar to how much is required for -4 ME under the current system.
I believe it was a Dev that replied in a thread responding to someone's question pointing out that the demand for moon materials will drop if all the invented BPCs require fewer components.
For the life of me though I haven't been able to find this post - but I've read so many Dev blogs and forum threads I can't even begin to think where I saw it. It's also entirely possible it is out of date and no longer correct - I have the feeling it was fairly early on... |

I am loving all of the misconceptions about the scope of the Crius changes.

I am really not sure about this. I remember reading something in a T2 BPO sales thread where a Dev posted something about there not being any intention to remove T2 BPOs from the game. I seem to recall that the general discussion was that increasing the ME was going to significantly hurt T2 BPOs. This would only make sense if the ME increase was an actual reduction in component costs.
In any event, can't this issue be solved by someone logging onto singularity to check what the cost is?
Edit: I don't know how to quote |
